If I was a Ref I would be like Ed. He is doing his job as a Ref Correctly to the T! Because The Refs Job is important because they are the eyes and deciding factor of what calls/penalties etc will be made which does impact the teams playing. So my ass would be very thorough too so there would be no one questioning any of my calls. LOL😎

3:08 "My flag was being returned to me. When it was tossed back to me it hit the ground. When that happened the clock operator thought there was a penalty and stopped the clock. The clock should have continued to run. There should be 12 seconds taken off the clock. So it should be 1:24. Take the play clock down 12 seconds as well." Haha. That was a long over explination.

I appreciate the post. I see that you took enough time and effort to find suitable clips to examine the tendencies of this Referee. I have decided to use the keyboard, and take the time to sign in, so that I may express that and the following. I consider it remarkable, as do so many others, that this ref acts in this manner, so expansively. However, I think critically, so I wonder how hampered our understanding of complex, competitive events might be were we subjected to a less communicative ref. I thank you for your quality post.

Before the ball was touched, the ball was fumble and there was illegal touching and the kicking team threw an interception and the fumble results in a forth down and so it will be 4th down and 21 with the holding penalty applied it will be forth and 31. Can the game clock operator put :3 seconds on the clock, the clock will start when the ball is snapped .

It's Ed's lawyer training-if it's easy to understand, then complicate and confuse the issues so nobody can understand anything including the league. The league pays the officials to do that, especially ones with legal training

Me: "what's 2+2?" Ed Hochuli: "Well that's simple, you have to first find where two is, so count up, zero, one two. Then, you have to count up two more, not three more since you have already counted zero. So you would count up three, and four. Now you will have to put this all together as a solved equation, first visualizing it in your mind "2+2=4". Afterwards, you will then do whatever else you need with that solution, whether that be speaking it or writing it. Me: 😐
