In this clip, Ed Lover spoke about his 1996 announcement of 2Pac dying being featured on Nas' "Death Row East" track off of "Kings Disease II." Ed explained that the soundbite is from the announcement he made at Nas' concert at Nassau Coliseum, and he revealed that he initially told Nas to make the announcement. However, Nas told Ed that it would be more appropriate for him to go on stage because of his relationship with 2Pac. During the conversation, Ed also thanked Nas for ending the narrative that Stretch set up 2Pac, which you can hear more about above.

Everything is microwave now, during that era, HipHop was larger than Life and the Talent had to have *something* in order to Shine. For me, the Last Era of the HipHop that substance mattered in; was the Reign of 50cent. Once lilwayne and the soulja types came in it was *over.* There are still some dope artists around, but the 90s was the Apex.

Technically it was over Pac making that statement in that Vibe interview and Stretch said something back. Stretch knew Biggie wasn't involved with the situation so he knew the Truth, wasn't no reason to stop hanging with Biggie. Yet he never did anything either at the time of pac getting shot nor after. What he did do was pass on messages from the dudes who did get pac shot. Biggy who was also meant to be pacs friend at the time also did or said nothing. He was scared of jimmy & them dudes. So I can understand pac being pissed at stretch & biggy. Even if they didn’t set him up or knew about it, at best they didn’t have pacs back when he needed them.

He played the recording because he said Tupac was a liar, he then played the recording of stretch saying Tupac shot himself in the balls trying to pull out a gun. I don't have to listen closely, he clearly said noone shot Tupac he shot himself. Ed lover confirmed what stretch said to him and in the recording. Ed lover then played the reco ding for himself. There no way to mis interpret what he said. He said nobody shot Tupac but Tupac himself. I'd rather take stretch word for than yours.

Dammmm....some crazy history... Stretch is from Hollis... out of Stretch own mouth...they had the drop on us... Ed Lover...stayed in my crib... or in the clubhouse with us...( Dee Woods)... Now... The lineage here..... Shock G was originally from Far Rock before he moved west... Sha from No Face Productions used to bring him around.... Stretch is close to Pac... and that studio on Colfax was on Fire in the early 90s... its all making sense now... Stretch told Dee Woods and myself the very next day what happened in the elevator....smh. Stretch was just there to chill and lay down some vocals...
