I agree completely with this guy. I had my own business everything was going awesome until i hurt my lower back and after 5 surgeries i had to be put on disability because the pain is so bad sometimes it hurts to breathe. I'm 51 and worked in construction for 34 years so I'm going through hell right now but i know God has a plan for me still

I can totally relate to everything you're going through.. It also hurts for me to breathe. My life changed in a split second -- having had my spine broken in 3 places, internal injuries, and every bone in my right side smashed in a car accident. It's an absolute miracle that I even learned to walk again, although it did take several years to achieve that goal. I honestly don't know where I'd be without my faith in God...I know that I certainly wouldn't still be here, that's for sure. Some days are soooo hard - but I ALWAYS find a pick-me-up in the Good Book.. like as if it was written just for me. But it's for all of us - and what a gift to all the world it truly is! My faith gets me through every day - just one day at a time.. I am so grateful whenever I think about the terrible death that Jesus suffered, and the horrible things that were done to him, and the mockery they made of him while they tortured him...and that he could have saved himself at any time, but he chose to go through it all - for US... Then I don't feel that my own years of suffering are so bad after all !! Keep your eyes on the Lord, and count your every blessing! God certainly does have a plan for you - it's very likely to be the last thing you ever expected : ) So always try to find your blessings wherever you can, as they're often hidden in the smallest things! Every day I challenge myself to find new things to be grateful for - and to give back wherever I can, no matter how little I can afford. I wish you the very best in your future, and that God richly blesses you. With much love from Australia. ❤️🙏🏻✝️

@@j.whiteoak6408 I'm so sorry your going thru that back pain is so hard to explain to others. Yes God has been there for me every day. I'm 52 and God has guided me my whole life and i know he has a plan for me. I tell my story hoping to help someone and try to get people to take care of their bodies. If it wasn't for very strong pain meds that are in the pain pump in my lower back i wouldn't be here even with the medicine every step hurts and within 5 minutes i have to lay down. Maybe we can help others to get to know God in their lives
@j.whiteoak6408
@j.whiteoak6408 2 года назад
@@waynesligar5948 The pain pump must be a blessing for you! I will definitely consider that for myself.. I have been avoiding further surgery as much as possible! But God gave us Doctors with the technology to help us..so I suppose I should explore this option as it has been offered to me - but I immediately rejected the idea..I didn't want to even hear anything about it because I've had more than enough of surgeries and I just couldn't face another operation at that time. But last week I had to travel to the State capital for specialist appointments which really stirred everything up. Even just the stress of organising the trip was too much for me, and once there I discovered that I was unable to walk half a city block from our hotel to the first appointment... The pain in my lower back just dropped me to the pavement in the middle of the street and my husband had to call a taxi. I was absolutely mortified with embarrassment, and fear of that much pain - and I'm terrified by the realisation that I am heading back to a wheelchair at a very fast pace - unless I consider further medical intervention! Would you please kindly explain to me how the pump works to your lower back? How big is it? What medication does it deliver? Does it have to be refilled? And if so, how is that done? Is it inside or outside of your body? Is it a difficult surgery &/or recovery? And does it really help you? I'd appreciate ANY information you might share with me.. Thank you so much, and God bless ❤️🙏🏻

@@j.whiteoak6408 my first surgery was in 2006 and after 6 months the screws that held the rods pulled out and done a lot of damage and i had to wait 4 more months before they could go back in a fix it so i crawled from the bed to the couch and back each day because i couldn't walk. Now I've had 4 more surgeries over the past years and now i have to do one more surgery to fuse the tail bone to my hips. Doctors think that will help with the pain. Anytime you want to talk we can figure out a way off of RU-vid

Heavy, Every day at work on my break I listen to your podcasts and all of them are very touching to me on a lot of levels. But I gotta be honest that this one with you and Ed is Mind Blowing! Between you two Amazing men you have my brain shifting gears and thinking on how I’m gonna push myself to be a better person, husband, father, friend, and more. Thank You to you both for being Good Men and sharing all this with us. I can’t wait to get Ed’s book.

God is good. Thank you for this. I had a similar upbringing and experience to Ed, dad was a drunk got sober when I was 13 and completely turned his life around. My dad recently relapsed and burned his life to the ground (after 14 years) and honestly it feels like I lost my hero. Hearing this and allowing both of your experiences to reframe my mindset is so amazing. Thank you so much. I needed this today.

Myself along with others in the world have had horrible childhoods and rough life’s. I for one still struggling living paycheck to paycheck and still not really making it. I wake up everyday thank god for what I have and what he has for me in the future. It’s a struggle to keep faith at times but I know with every ounce of my soul that there is more out there for me and I have so many ideas but don’t know how to get there or what I am really good at. I guess I don’t know or don’t have the self confidence to know what it is I’m good at. And I’m going to listen to this several more times to exactly understand how to get there. You both are amazing individuals love you and god bless!!

I’m just some arborist in Washington who enjoys loud obnoxious machinery; so naturally, the algorithms that be, recently commanded me to your content with the “Alan’s compound” videos; and I was a fast subscriber just based on that entertainment value. That being said, This video brings an even more compelling amount of value. I run machines, drive trucks/tractors, climb trees with chainsaws and generally just make a bunch of noise every day. This format brings something I don’t get from noise. And I like it. Keep it up.

This is the fifth time listening to this podcast; and the 20th time having my mind blown. In my desire to become the man Hod put me here to be, this podcast has been monumental. I'm winters yet again; and love it. It would be an honor to meet Dave Sparks, to thank him; and to go get dirty doing some work at Cerro Gordo. To those reading this, I just want to say, it is worth the time to keep revisiting this podcast.

Wow! This is the first podcast that I’ve listened to. I was moved to tears several times while listening. I think that the thing that was the most relatable was the thermostat analogy. I’ve always said that I was more afraid of success than failure. Meeting the woman that I could have been if not for all of the obstacles that I’ve had to overcome would definitely be an eye opener. Listening to your podcast makes me want to try to get back on track to be the best that I can be!

Great discussion.. I just turned 52 and one common thread I've noticed throughout my life coming from many many personalities that have found success and contentment in life is, That which comes easy in life is complementary and true growth and fulfillment comes when one constantly embraces and challenges their antagonist rather than avoiding it. So it makes a lot of sense why our culture currently is in such dire straights when half of society not only refuses to engage in dialogue with their antagonist but actively tries to forcefully shut it down because of feeling "unsafe" or "offended"..

It is Amazing that someone can come into your life and change your thoughts and circumstances. I used to have so many folks like that assist me in my path, but once you hit your 50s you start losing these special folks and it becomes very painful. I watch your Streams and have found that you are one of those people that have had help and have passed it on. I see now that you are even giving away one of your sweet rigs. Man, I sure could use a 4X4 as I live in Upstate New York and have been stranded over 20 miles away from town. My Mom aged 87 lives with me, and she has a car, but it is beat... a 4X4 is really necessary for the hills of the Catskill region please consider someone that wants more than just having one of "your" trucks as long as someone that will really appreciate it wins it, I will be happy for them anyway... Again, Thank You for being you and helping that poor soul save his houseboat.... again, God Bless you for being you Heavy...Regards jbmaps aka Jay

I hate my fucking life, I’ve been nothing but a failing husband, son and father as well as gone from so busy in non attempts at my business as a contractor to absolutely dead in my area.. I can fix, build and make anything and everything and it’s wasted because I aside from repeat clients I the calls all dried up. I’m desperate, and end of each day I park and just chain smoke a pack of disgusting cigarettes trying to hold my head high one more night and have the desire to wake up.. but I’m at my end man. I love heavy D and the great Ed Mylett, I wish I had the knowledge and opportunity to capitalize on and create opportunities like both of these men. I go to sleep if any sleep at all praying I don’t wake up. I can’t stand my life right now.

I've always practiced just taking one more step. Now just keep doing that over and over. Earlier this month I was sick, on my period, and starting my work week. I Struggle with stress asthma that weekend I was constantly having attacks. My old boss texted me letting me know another farmer was looking for a worker, I needed to find a new 2nd job yet wasn't looking too hard because I was just off of mat leave and the work was kicking my ass after a year of sitting. I didn't want to stop in and inquire about the job, I felt like crap. I drove past and turned around. Because the location was too good to not inquire. And because I trusted my previous boss I turned around and stopped in. I got the job, and a week later I caught covid. My 1st job wouldn't let me work but my new job did. I didn't lose all my income. I work alone so no reason I can't work. I'm struggling with energy but I work until the stress puts my body in an attack and I know I've done all I can do. At the end of the day I was still able to provide for my kids no matter how many times I catch covid

While I been watching these guys for a while, i hardly comment, and I am always super skeptical about giveaways actually being real. But when I read they may be giving away a vehicle I thought that was amazing, as someone driving a 08 lincoln, no air, 3 tires that go flat every 4/5 hours, destroyed rims from a hurricane, busted dash and so much more, this is one time I hope this is real. Oh just so everyone knows yes I work a full time job and still can't even save up 4,000 for a down payment on a used car. anyway like i said great content as a vet I appreciate the open patriotism which so many are afraid to do and hope someone actually wins even if it not me.
