From the first episode when this bunch of crazy people went and recovered the nugget, I have been addicted to watching everything about it. I looked at this derelict vehicle and thought who in their right mind would do that? Apparently a heck of a lot of wonderful people, who are all in their right minds. Every one including amazing fans who have donated parts ,having given so much time and effort into the entire project have made this an incredible experience to watch. I am so looking forward to the day when Ed gets it all back. Thanks to everyone involved for allowing fans like me the chance to at least see what you have all done.

Chad, I spent much of my working career as an EE, designing and building control systems for large scale factory automation high speed, high precision, projects, frequently "one of a kind systems". What we do in effort isn't really appreciated by those who haven't been there and done it. Your work is top notch. A very few have this capability and the rest don't fully appreciate what it takes to do it. Thank you, and I know Ed will thank you too. It’s fantastic watching how everyone is doing their thing yet working together so well on the Rokon, Rokon Trailer, and the Nugget. I can’t wait for the reveal to Ed of everything that people have been working on, and hearing the Golden Nugget running was awesome. Nice Job Chad, and the rest of the FabRats team…

It really is looking nice. Unbelievable Wiring in process. Chad must be a brain surgeon in his spare time. Everyone can paint or wrench to a degree, but wiring is a different lady. Unforgiving. I made a 43" wide 1-1/4" dia Schedule 160 electropolished SS bumper that plugs into the hitch receiver. Padlocked pin. Rear lights need protection behind them. This rig needs that to protect the rear from those that park by ear! Keep that fire extinguisher handy. Autographs are Great Idea. *FANTASTIC TO HEAR IT START AND RUN.* Fantastic efforts by all involved.

Been watching the progress on this. I love all the vids from Matt, Robby, Paul and everyone else! I know the love and hard work you all have done on the Nugget. Been there before myself. I got a little teary eyed to hear it fire that first time! All who are doing this for a special friend are as special as Ed! Awesome!

I see why they call you the wiring guru Chad. Its amazing as little as it is the wiring is crazy. I was thinking with all the madness with wiring if smoke ever came out of your ears ? Then the cartoon guys top of head blows off! Great editing & you talk us through it. Love your videos & my prayers are with you all. Can't wait to hear Dustys Crusty run !

Very nice video! You talked about the width of the axles, I'm wondering if anyone was concerned putting fender flares or something to protect the paint from what ever those awesome tires throw at it. Cause it will happen. I've asked a few times about if there's is oil in the differentials don't assume there is. I'm looking out for Ed and the nugget.
@chadsfab
@chadsfab 2 года назад
No plans for flares that I know of. As little as it will be driven it shouldn't be a problem. All of the gear boxes have oil.

Excellent work. Most people think that wiring carries electricity but I believe they carry smoke. It's been my experience that every time I let the smoke out of the wiring things stop working.
