@@crumblemuffin1257 yep knowing that they can easily come back to take your life as revenge or even hurt someone you love and destroy your entire life.
@Gabe Gonzo bruh no, stop talking bullshit and I know you also don't believe what your saying, the only thing keeping most from killing is the laws and some religions.
Just bought the extended versions of the trilogy I came here as soon as I heard it in the film 💜💯 "if this is to end in fire, then we shall all burn together" 💜💯
+Morgan Wolfskin Literally have a broadsword underneath my bed. Got it from a medieval battle fair in Atlanta, Georgia. Need to learn how to wield it. Also I need to grow longer hair and a beard. xD I ordered a Long Bow a few days ago and it comes tomorrow- gonna be a Legolas. >:D (Dead Serious)
Don’t ask who’s here in 2021, we’ve never left. EDIT: 1 year later, and wow, looks like a army just got created lol Anyways, may this song and this movie be pinned in your heads forever, because it's soooo good :) EDIT 2: 2 years later, and this song is still incredible, hope you're still here... EDIT 3: 3 years, wow... How is it still sooo great? This music is unique, thanks to everyone that commented here so I could listen again to this, hope the army is still here...
Every last weekend of December, me and the boys used to get together for a full on mancave-binge-watch session of all LOTR and the Hobbit movies. Good times.
Vey few movies in theaters have end credits that have people stop mid exit on their way out to listen to the song. This was one of them in our theater.
I'm not the only one who felt emotional when Bilbo is standing there and protecting Thorin? He knows he's outmatched and he's most likely going to die but he stands there, still doing what is right. Fuck I'm tearing up thinking about it
Some need dubstep. Some need djs. Some need orchestras and thousands of instruments. Ed Sheeran needs a guitarr and his voice. Thats all he needs to... Create magic. Thank you Ed.
I can't be only person here who doesn't get the hate for the Hobbit trilogy and really loves it? Seriously, the music, acting, scenery, and everything else is beautiful. How can you not love anything that Peter Jackson creates? I remember the first time I watched King Kong and I was obsessed for it for a complete four years. Long live this great director and his movies.
This will be my first Christmas without my brother, Karl. We used to sing this song together. He would sing the higher pitch while I was the bass. Miss you, buddy.
Just finished watching the two trilogies and here i am crying like a kid while listening to the song. Oh how i miss the fellowship, feels like im one of them now. May this masterpiece reach more generations so they could feel what we've felt and learned. Kudos to the team!!
This is why singers will always rule over rappers. Because there's no way any rapper could envoke this type of emotion out of any one. Ed Sheeran is astounding. Thank you for this gift bro!
Not all that is gold glitters, Not all who wander are lost, The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. -Part of Bilbo's poem
"True courage is not about knowing when to take a life but when to spare one" "end? no the journey doesnt end here. death is just another path one that we all must take. the grey-rain curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it. white shores, and beyond, a far green countrey under a swift sunrise." "you can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month, and yet in a hundred years they can still surprise you." these qoutes are some of the best from that series and ill always adore them.... youre comment made my day
It puts goose bumps on my soul. I'm a Cop,and former Marine. When I hear the line if this is to end in fire then we shall all burn together, there is such a deep and profound meaning and memory for me, it's not always about the ring, but the fellowship, those with whom you share your greatest hardships.
It's crazy. Just in general though, when I think about that I only have around 2 years before I'm done with my bachelor makes me really think. I don't really feel like a grownup who's ready to join the workforce. I still feel like a young student who knows nothing (aka Jon Snow).
This is a perfect song, as it shows the horrific destruction and tragedy of fire, as it rises in intensity and power so do the vocals, but that fire isn’t evil, it’s Nature, and Nature is unsympathetic.
I generally don't care much about Ed Sheeran, but I went to the cinema and when the movie was over and this song started, I remained in the room until the very last chord just as if the movie itself wasn't finished yet, and all the way back home it was in my mind as if i went to the cinema more because of the song than of the movie. Simply amazing. And great movie too, of course.
@@po-ta-to4159 Hey, don't be so pessimistic. After all, this character was created by a REAL man. J.R.R Tolkien believed what he wrote. And this statement is straight out facts☺️
All these people asking "what's better, LOTR or Harry Potter?", as a big fan of both fictional seres, let me give my opinion. LOTR shits all over Harry Potter. JK Rowling is a massively overrated author, and her books don't come close to matching the brilliance that is LOTR. Tolkien's literary skills are sooo much better than JKR and anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool. as for the films, the first four Harry Potter films were good, and I enjoyed them. but the films from then on weren't very good. LOTR 1, 2 and 3 are all amazing films, and wipe the floor with Harry Potter.
LOTR films >> Harry Potter films. However, to dismiss JKR, one of the best selling authors ever, is a bit flippant. Both are great reads, different styles, but great nonetheless. Both a joy to read over and over.
ziwis So you're telling me that when you were 6 years old you could understand every single hidden meaning than Tolkien was writing about? I doubt that. I doubt you can do it now
Came back here after watching the Rings of Power because I just wanted to feel once again the same feeling that it gave me when I heard this song... oh and it's just as Powerful as ever... Thank u Ed .... 2023 and still hits me in the right place 😢
“If this is to end in fire, then we should all burn together.” - Thorin Oakenshield I can’t believe it’s almost been five years since Battle of Five Armies was released... good times.
It brings so many memories I used to listen this song when I was in middle school and it always brought so much comfort. Now I am in university and it still so soothing.
My father also showed me this song a lot and we would sing this together. When he passed away, which was a year ago, I learned this on guitar and played it at his funeral. I’m 15 now and I’m glad I played it. This song has always given me hope and peace. I miss my father everyday, but I always find peace with this song. If you are dealing with a lost, feel free to message me, never lose faith ✊
It always reminds me of maybe the best holiday i had as a kid 🥲. Back when the second Hobbit film came into the movies i was in a holiday with my parents in Warnemünde and we saw the movie there in a 4D cinema. That was really nice and that song played in the credits. :/. Its good to remember but i somehow also miss these times. And everytime when the Tauriel and Kili soundtrack plays, i cry my ass off.
Everyone was busy at a wedding while i went back home alone at age 14 , turned the tv and watched the movie in silence , was sitting on the ground and the end credits rolled with this song , i just felt it's the end of the world and there's no where else to go and i just sat there all night letting myself taken off by the feelings of this song
I can still remember when Ed Sheeran shared in one of his interviews that he was a bit drunk when he received a short noticed email to do the music for this movie. Glad he happens to open his email and work on the music (and even finish it, if I remember it right) that same night.
You must be stronger than I am Kyra. Thank you so much for checking out my magazine. Hope you enjoy our contents and share them when you get a chance. It's a beautiful song.
Ed Sheeran - I See Fire ( LYRICS ) Oh, misty eye of the mountain below Keep careful watch of my brothers' souls And should the sky be filled with fire and smoke Keep watching over Durin's sons If this is to end in fire, then we should all burn together Watch the flames climb high into the night Callin' out, Father, oh, stand by and we will Watch the flames burn auburn on the mountainside high And if we should die tonight, we should all die together Raise a glass of wine for the last time Callin' out, Father, oh, prepare as we will Watch the flames burn auburn on the mountainside Desolation comes upon the sky Now, I see fire inside the mountain I see fire burnin' the trees And I see fire hollowin' souls I see fire, blood in the breeze And I hope that you'll remember me Oh, should my people fall then surely, I'll do the same Confined in mountain halls, we got too close to the flame Callin' out, Father, oh, hold fast and we will Watch the flames burn auburn on the mountainside Desolation comes upon the sky Now, I see fire inside the mountain I see fire burnin' the trees And I see fire hollowin' souls I see fire, blood in the breeze And I hope that you'll remember me And if the night is burning, I will cover my eyes For if the dark returns, then my brothers will die And as the sky's fallin' down, it crashed into this lonely town And with that shadow upon the ground, I hear my people screamin' out Now, I see fire inside the mountains I see fire burnin' the trees I see fire hollowin' souls I see fire, blood in the breeze I see fire (Oh, you know I saw a city burnin' out) And I see fire (Feel the heat upon my skin) And I see fire And I see fire burn auburn on the mountain side
i remember seeing this in theaters when i was like 13-14. the end with bilbo saying "what have we done" then going right into this song STILL gives me goosebumps son. thats how a cliffhanger is done 👌
