It brings me to tears over and over. Right up there with U2 "Bad" from Live Aid, Pearl Jam "Black" from MTV Unplugged, and Purple Rain from Syracuse in 85.
The first time I saw Ed Sheeran live I kept looking for the band. I still can’t believe this guy constructs these amazing songs alone with just a looper pedal.
It’s like someone hurt his heart to the point of trauma, the rasp in his voice and in his demeanor at the end was like “Woman you hurt me, why can’t you see it!” Type of demeanor. Ed you’re my biggest musical inspiration, may God bless you
It's very nice of Jay Z and Usher, two legends of another genre of music that relies heavily on the beats and the lyrics as two separate entities (rap) to stand there and enjoy another genre where feelings are tied directly to the tune and the flow of the song (soft rock).. beautiful song and beautiful video.
how is it that this doesn't get more views.. I've seen him live twice..I have to admit, this is best version I've heard! my favorite song from Ed and my favorite version of this song!
He's beautiful inside and out. I've watched everything I can find about him and his music. They need to just leave him alone with his music. He's deep. Gets in my very soul. Mmmmmm
this song ed took it very heavy, splendid song like you never get tired of listening and singing it every time it is renewed very difficult for a song to be like this always new due to its high quality and perfection
omg thank you so much for uploading this, i randonmly found another video of Ed sheeran singing this at this concern but for some reaso nhas been taken offyoutube something to do wit hcopyright so been looking for another video of it, you have saved my life. i absolutely love this performance.
+matt mullen Exact same thing happened to me and have been looking for another video since it went down. This is one of the best live version of this song imo.
There are songs that transcend logic and are engraved in our soul it's not just a romanticism it's about identifying or not with a song thank you Ed sheram for this transcendental song...thank you so much...
Idk if anyone agrees but go watch his jumpers for goalposts performance of photograph and then watch this...he kills this performance way more than he did at wembley...idk just noticed it now
fantastic use of effects pedals and microphones to extend song to over 7 mins superd acoustics at the end and switching back this is the best sheerhan song ever
Its funny to mention that everytime he performs we think, right this is the best he can sing this song and the very next performance is even better.. Pure talent and pure music.. By the way the crowd was pretty dumb.. This is what happens when you are addicted to autotune.. You fail to appreciate pure music... So lucky to be in this generation to see ed perform live..
Anyone have any idea what chords he's playing? They look almost like barre versions of the normal ones but not quite. So cool how he does each show a little bit different from the last
This is a great performance from ES (my favorite of this song), but if you get a chance please look into the 'Global Goals' on the wall behind him, these are the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and can be easily found online. Aligning your futures with these goals, such as climate action, clean energy, no poverty, quality education, clean water, reduced inequalities can help make a better world than the one that is being left to us. Thanks
E is dropped to d. No capo. He is using a capo because his guitar is dropped a hole step and he did not have time to tune it back up. He is also playing in key of D. The original song is played in E but he is playing in D because women like key of D better than E. Men like E a lot. Its wired but true.
