Such a beautifully honest album from such a hard year for him of his best friend suddenly passing away, and then a few days later finding out his pregnant wife had cancer. I'm so glad he had a creative outlet to help him with his emotions and that he honoured us by sharing them with us
Love these types of channels. They give so many different opinions to my favourite albums and how other people like it. The most concise opinion on this album is how heavy hitting the album generally is just because Ed was going through a tough time when writing this, and you can definitely feel that. Props to you m8 and everyone else who does this.
18:04 this song is about Ed's wife and them finding out she had cancer. "waiting on professionals to tell you how it is, what's he gonna say after "I think you better sit". That hits hard
This is my favorite album of all time!! Absolutely love Ed. Saltwater is unbeatable but literally every song is amazing some of my other favorites are Colourblind, vega, borderline, end of youth!! For me, the only potential skips are wildflowers, and dusty. Thank you for the video!
Vega is the biggest star in the costilation Lyra which is the name of his oldest daughter so he refers vaga as his wife Cherry he is saying she is the biggest part of Lyras life
