Wow, that performance, especially visiting hours, was heart wrenching... that wasn’t a famous singer performing for his fans, that was a bloke letting his heart speak from losing a best mate.... kudos mr sheeran

One of the best singer/songwriters in history. That dude can make you feel something like few others can.

And he wore a suit to signify his respect. Such a class act.

This man can sing and write a song. He does it all from the heart. A living legend who will no doubt go down as one of the greats. Still plenty more to offer to the world. This song did give me goosebumps.

I feel visiting hours so deeply. My best friend was murdered an hour after I dropped him off. We was only 18. He's never met my son or got to experience these best parts of life. I'm 31 now and still think of him constantly.

The fact that he voluntarily went through 14 days quarantine when he got to Australia, purely to be there for this... this guy is just a class act. Absolutely no airs or graces, just wanted to pay his respects to a friend that had such an impact on his life. He also did it without any media, nobody knew he was here till the actual day of this, he just wanted to do his quarantine, as everyone had to do, and do what he could to pay tribute... The 'Big Wig' would be proud. Love Ed, and the way he goes about everything.

I wish more people would really truly listen to his words...it's not goodbye, it's until we meet again.

I literally sobbed throughout Visiting Hours the lyrics were incredibly emotive. Ed has the incredible ability albeit gift of writing songs that we can all relate to. Ed Sheeran is the best song writer of the last decade. His songs are incredibly insightful, thoughtful, meaningful, and sometimes heart wrenching. You have one of the brightest futures of any contemporary artist out there. And I am old so that means something🙂. What a spectacular tribute to a friend. I play his music every single day. I have not found one I haven’t loved yet.

When the world is falling apart around us, thank goodness there are people like Ed in the world to lift us up wit his talent. Whether it be in sadness like saying goodbye to a friend like this . Epic stuff .

Since I heard this song for the first time it’s really spoken to me after losing my uncle who was like a father to me, every time I hear it I want to visit him but I’m grateful as a Christian that I will be with him again one day, Ed you are such a fantastically talented musician and sing from your heart, my favourite artist by a long way. Michael Gudinski was a supporter of talented Aussies but also the best from around the world. Ed Sheeran you are beautiful and a vocal powerhouse. I do have to say "Bloody Ed Sheeran" from the movie "Yesterday". If you've seen the film you'll appreciate the line if not you have to watch "Yesterday". There's a surprise cameo from a British Goat (Greatest of all time). I won't mention who the actor is or who they play but it was so beautifully bittersweet. Love this tribute and the film. 💝🇦🇺
