I had one years ago. He wanted down from the shed roof. No treat needed, but lots of pets.

Shoulder kitties are the best! I had a ginger who would always jump on my shoulder without any food motivation or anything like that. Turn my back on him? Surprise! Sudden kitty on my shoulder! He'd hunker down and just stay there as I walked to wherever I was going. If I passed an open door slowly, he'd sometimes jump onto the top of the open door! He'd stay up there, teetering on the top edge of the open door and, the next time I went by, back onto my shoulder! He was quite a guy and I miss him. Congratulations for having your own shoulder kitty!!

My cat used to jump on my shoulder while I was wearing tank tops. She loved to drape herself around my neck while I was cooking. I had a fine network of scars from scratch marks but I didn't mind. Loved her so much.

Our family had a stray orangish tabby cat that did that too. As we went up or down at the treehouse-like structure, he would hitch a ride. His name was "Yeller." He and our Siamese cat also got into some major disputes as well.

That is the most orange cat I've ever seen. Our ginger is light orange. Ed has the most gorgeous fur.

Got a shoulder kitty too. She waits up the shed for me to ride in on my bike, then catches a lift up the house on my shoulder. Goes with my son out to the road at school bus time. In the afternoon, she's back up the driveway waiting for the bus to drop him off home again.

That roof looks like its asbestos, kind of blueish grey and not the pale grey of fibrous cement sheeting. You should encapsulate that by rolling a few coats of paint on it WITHOUT scrubbing, sanding, wire brushing or water blasting the algae and dirt off. Just sealer straight on with a corrugated roof roller, and then a couple of coats of color paint.

Had a kitty who every day when coming home from work as I opened the door he would jump on my shoulder. Would steal my glasses ( chew on them ) and wait for me to walk into the kitchen with the other two kitties in tow to get chow. The expectation and happiness he gave me as well as the other two over the years is unforgettable. Sadly ( Rio ) passed away a year ago today at the age of 18 years and 1 month. The other two never tried to copy him and that I found surprising. They are only with us for a short time but, the memories of the silly and amazing things they do stay with you forever...Your kitty is so cool in what and how he, she, interacts with you and I find the personality differences between each and every kitty an amazing tail...

Our cats have always launched themselves onto our shoulders. Sometimes it's from a high vantage point, like a kitchen cabinet ~ or they will simply stand in front of you & jump, trusting that you will catch them. Our cats also follow us everywhere, insisting on being almost constantly in our company. This video is nothing unusual. The summer is the worst time for genuine 'shoulder cat' owners, because of the lack of clothing layers. This guy has clearly specifically trained his cat to jump onto his shoulder ~ evidenced by the protective pad he wears.

My Cat, Desmo, has jumped and landed on my back/shoulders when I didnt even know he was in the room. He gets up on a chair and just lets it fly. He hits with a real thump and hangs on for dear life. It was a shocker the first time he did it, for a second I had no idea what had hit me. He is a novelty animal who has destroyed many things of value in the house, climbs the drapes, chews the blinds, loves people and has to meet everyone up close and personal who comes in the house. He's a good boy.
