After 10+ years of music festivals and raving, I’m going to share with you all my secret pro tips and tricks on how to have an incredible time at EDC Las Vegas. I’ve made all the rookie mistakes so that you don’t have to!
I’ll give you tips on how to prepare, what to buy, what to expect at EDC, the best way to experience EDC, information about all the stages and music, basics about PLUR life and rave culture, how to recover after every day and the entire weekend, and most importantly...how to get there! Transportation is always a nightmare, but I’ve figured out tricks to making it easier and more pleasant! Watch until the end to learn my secrets!

One extra tip. Not to dull the mood but these massives draw organized pick-pocketing rings so please please keep track of your belongings! They take advantage of people who aren't sober so please look out for your friends and strangers!

Extra tips! 1. Add time stamps to your texts! I've gotten countless, "Meet me at Kinetic Field right now!!!" 4 hours later 😅 2. Keep track of your belongings and look out for your friends and strangers. Big crowds create opportunities for things to be taken, especially of those that aren't sober. here is a mega tip, wear black shirt, black pants, and walk in the gates, say that you are a bartender and that you are late, dont try to run through they will tackle you, ther are not supposed to let you in, but when it gets too crazy we let it slide. i work in the ticket scanning, NEVER offer money, never try to run through, if you just be nice eventually one of us will let you in... (: no you wont get arrested for trying, just at most you get rejected so just try again a different line or gate.

Wife and I are going for the first time, we will probably get the VIP tickets. Can we just get a 2 day pass, like for SAT and SUN? How well do they search you when you go in?

@@ronalberca2188 if you are rich sure get vip. but its not worth it to me since i am a college kid. sure in some stages you get a nice view of the plebs.. but as far as scanning in its not much faster. they dont search hard at all. no metal detectors either, a quick pat down and maybe they will look for a glass bottle of vodka or a professional camera. they are not going to be looking for small things like weed or every single pocket of your fanny pack or cargo pants. do not take anything bigger than a backpack tho.. they will also not look for your little grams of cocaine... but still slip it in your sock or someting dont make it obvious with your molly. and tickets... no they only sell 3 day. its nice but by sunday if youre getting drunjk every day you wont even care to go sunday night after all youre engery and drugs and lack of sleep.

Was the 1.5 hour wait for the ride the GA line or VIP? I heard that VIP line for rides were only about 10 minutes or so. Thanks!

Hey! I’ve noticed the wait varies based on what time you take the shuttle, what day of the festival it is, etc. I know people that had VIP wristbands and they had to wait a while too, but I think GA passes will usually have much longer waits

Please ravers, please don't try to bring drugs into EDC. I worked security for the 2022 event and 5 ravers got themselves arrested before they event got into the event, 2 of them had VIP tickets. Don't waste your money doing something stupid.

Also, what's it like working security for a big festival like this? I'd imagine it's bonkers! What's the craziest story you've heard or witnessed?

@@valeriesview It's very draining, non-stop raving for 72hrs+ straight, me and a couple other guys stayed on the property to avoid traffic so we only got maybe 6hrs. of actual sleep. It's like celebrating 4th July, Holloween, Christmas, your Birthday and New Years Eve all within 3 days. It's an experience. I'll tell ya, we had to make very close friends with Red Bull and Monster. It was one of the toughest security jobs I ever worked in my life. I have to admit there was a lot of eye candy out there.
