I carry three ignition sources on my person everyday. This credit card size fresnel lens rides in my wallet at all times. The other two are a mini Bic and a ferro rod attached to my key chain.
Here's the link for the fresnel lens 3 pack: www.amazon.com...
Thanks for watching, and, as always, keep Doing the Stuff of Self-Reliance!

Are we just gonna gloss over the way this man puts fires out with his bare hands?

Believe the pronunciation is Fray-NEL, but it's a great video. Working men easily extinguish fire in their palms.

Just ordered my Fresnel Lens on Amazon. I was impressed at how fast he started a fire. But what really impressed me was how he put the fire out with his bare hands. And didn’t even say ouch.

I have a Fresnel lens but have never used it. Really surprised how quickly the tinder started to smoke even in conditions that were not optimal. Great vid Sir !

Appreciate the support, Steven! They're a good resource which saves your other fire ignition sources if you have the right conditions.

LOL! How freaky is that? We both did the same video on the same day. LOL! Thanks friend!!!

Strange indeed, lol. Just watched yours and gotta say, you did a more thorough job and showed all three EDC items in one vid. I never had a fresnel vid, but have many on ferro rods. Very creative use of an empty lighter.

I had several fresnel lenses available so i used them in series and was able to start a fire in winter in Pennsylvania in under 10 seconds. I don’t know if I was risking burning a hole in the other lens. But I didn’t see any damage.

Those aren't hands. Those are two leathered callouses at the end of his arms. Lol Great video!

You look at least 3 notches more serious with the glasses :p Apropos, have you tried improvising a similar firestarter with your glasses, and if so, can it work?
@SurvivalSherpa

lol, specks are an essential part of my seeing close up, friend. And I've tried with my readers but they are only 1.5X magnification with no success. A few years maybe I'll be at 4X, haha.

I'm sure... I had one in the Bible that I carry in my hunting equipment, but it has disappeared. I think that I can pick one up at Walmart. I see people using a magnifying glass to start a fire and wonder if it really works that easy. Seeing you do it, I can believe it to be that easy. (I trust you)

Great demonstration. It pains me to hear your pronunciation each time though. The Fresnel lens is named after a Frenchman who invented it. As such, the s would be silent. It would be more like fray-NEL.
@SurvivalSherpa

Thanks for correction, Matt. I just discovered the correct pronunciation a couple months ago. Always learning something new.

This is very cool but it's not pronounced as FRESNEL. The s is silent. It is pronounced as Fruh-Nel
