I would love to see you test plain vs serrated both in normal blade shapes and curved karambit type blades against targets in a leather or a winter coat, just to see how well they penetrate with slashing and stabbing.

I use a do it yourself setup for my daily carry. it's a 1.2 million lumen flood light attached to a small motorcycle battery that I carry in my edc backpack. It's really bright for tactical tactics and everyday use

I have lots of lights on my truck already. I just like my set up because of the tactical advantage I have just in case. I also carry six back up batteries and 2 additional flood light bulbs incase my main goes out.

+Ilir L. I have a ThorFire PF02 penlight that works pretty well. FourSevens also makes a pen light version of the Preon, I don't have that one but I have the shorter Preon and it works well.

+Ilir L. if lumens are not to important. .but built like a tank the streamlight pen light is awsome. need a brighter light the thrufire ti4 is around 250 lumens on high. also get the fire fly mode that last a long time

I currently carry a BLF A6 with an 18350 tube installed. max output is at least 1400 lumens. With a few modifications it can produce up to 1700 lumens depending on battery type ;)

Excellent video. You might hold the flashlights still in front of the camera so I can get a good view of the it. Also let us know the very lowest lumen as well. Thanks for the good info!

Check out the Peak Eiger. I bought one a couple months ago. It takes a Triple A battery and you can get 200 lumens out of it. Really great EDC light.

good video, I personally carry a Klarus XT1c due to it have dual tailcap buttons one button is setup for strobe and the other one is for light. It is alittle bigger than the S10 model but it works great and works for me. Oh the photon light is on my keychain,,it also works great.

Generally do the Fenix line, have others but do not like the twistys... My go to is from 2014, the MC11, adjustable right angle... have yet to find anything AA with the variety. Stays with my safety vest. Hopefully MC11 will soon get an upgrade ideally to the RC05 range (my edc pocket) with what to me is the perfect stepping... 5 (*10) 50 (*3) 150 (*2) 300. Rechargeable battery but can take standard AA battery if needed. Of course for a keychain carry the Nitecore TIP at 360 lumens is more than needed. Have a few headlamps in bags such as 12 Survivors med kit and a car kit. With today's technology, if not a rechargeable (USB or magnetic) light will not even consider purchasing. The highly recommended UC35 sits on my hip.

For me when it comes to an edc flashlight it's all about the width. As long as the length fits in my pocket it's fine for me. However a thicker light becomes very uncomfortable in my pocket. This is why I love pen lights for edc but that's just what I prefer personally.

Check out Streamlight pen style flashlights. Good price, bright enough, fits anywhere, uses ordinary batteries. I give them as gifts all the time.

+David Kirsheman streamlight stuff is old technology . they are living off their name like maglite . All the manufacturers of lights listed in the video are making lights with the upgraded emitters and newest technology . the BLF custom lights are brilliant options since they are lights made by enthusiasts for enthusiasts .Super bright ,interesting User interfaces,without paying for the name .

WeAllJuggleKnives I could but I like to keep my products original as they came from factory. If a product needs a mod he wasn't designed correctly to me. Don't get me wrong I like the Nitecore Tube as it is but it could be even better if it was bigger.

PowerMadHeadBanger upgrade to the TUBE, called the Nitecore THUMB 85 lumens, plastic body ($20) or upgrade to metal body 360 lumens Nitecore TIP ($30)
