I can't wait to receive my V2 I got very fortunate to get in on it.

I'm at about the 12 min mark and need to say about the edge sharpening statement with polished/finer edge. Some metals do not take a more refined edge as others. In my experience 1095 needs a but more of a "toothy " edge than some newer alloy or stainless steel blades. I have a Spyderco knife that will take a mirrored edge and stay that super razor sharp for a very long time with edc use and abuse. I have another I carried for a while at work and it cannot have a mirrored edge period. It won't even start to cut paper if it's super fine or polished so I stop several grit lower on the stones and it'll cut excellently and last a good while. So getting to know the blades you have is really important when you sharpen them.

Awesome knives. Definitely cool tools. I keep mine cut worthy on the edge of my vehicle window. Lock that wrist, that sharpening edge is narrow😉

Some of those “wax’s have a grit in them. Makes cutting faster on the primary bevels and even flats on flat ground blades. We do use our belt grinders, but the Ken Onion Tool Sharp mini grinder (I have one for house sharpening) is great. Just start practicing on beater knives from say the Thrift store. I added you to my Home screen , I can see why you're popularity exploded , shape and size are great for self defense , was looking for a general field knife / fuk it blade..to keep on my war belt under my med kit ( small of back ) between the kit and belt...I believe the Striker possibility fits what I had in mind

I know exactly what your saying brother my dad would sit out on the porch and put one hell of an edge on my edc couldn’t get him to change to a up to date diamond stone he was old school oil stone guy it took a long time but he did it He had a KABAR that he sharpened the top of the kabar point to 2.5 inches back he said this is was they did back in the day in the Marine Corp he was in Korea 1947-1952 1st Marine Div 2nd Amphibious TRK battalion be safe God Bless

Seems like in my experience with sharpening a high polished edge Isn't always the best all around cutting edge. For a fine slicer it's all good but for heavy duty utility cutting like rope I prefer a grainier less polished edge. I really like this knife even though I've always edc'ed a folder I could see myself carrying this too. Thanks.

I hate stainless steel blades, they're hard to sharpen and won't hold an edge worth a shit, carbon steel blades all the way.

Real Knife sharpening seems part art , part science …I think ?

Sought to be friends with Supercar Blondie. Do need weight scale. Need damn fence round this whole property so that my little doggies have the privilege of roaming this whole property freely while we live in this location and need dog trainer to settle ambitions of my doggies... One that can train my doggies for a leash. After that, I can direct and walk my dogs a hell of a great deal more. Teeth to eat, urgently. And to urgently get rid of anything in my mouth, which might cause me pain or infection. I get angry over the people of my choice in life, people just got to understand that. Not correctly fulfilled with own damn "women" I like for in life, so it does fuck with my morals. My circumstances with people against my life do a shitload of damage to my life and any so called "internal clock" or whatever. Daddy needs to get him some teeth back to, so we need fuel there. If I get any type of job that I really want. Like trucking, electrical, even accounting or engineering. I want people that I favor around me. I fully understand about what the bible always says about the devil's "wicked devices". People are supposed to associate in person through life, though none of the people of my favor even have any damn favor for me, to associate with me in person in life... Make me feel how life is real. When you get behind a steering wheel and you are able to drive to an abundance of places through life, in comparison to travelling no where. I know how to drive, just have bad memory. Have you ever been around such a decent and good spirited woman in life and her spirituality ever be good enough to teach your mind and flow through your mind, like a good scented wind in life? Good spirited wind and charm on subjects? Malnourishment hurts and you take good away, you get screwed. Malnourishment doesn't always have to happen by another person, sometime's it's just the consequences of life. Maybe that's just why I'm here... In my type of pain and hurting. All endure a different type of pain through life, but all should be respected. All our lives and all our souls are just like blades of life.

Forget about all this bs. Go and ask your grandfather to show you how they did it !!!

Hello, I know you have explained that one can obtain the same sharpening results with the handheld sharpeners as the table tool (it just takes longer) however, I was wondering how much the last sharpening tool you used ~table top~ with its rods weighs? If I were separated from my jump bag or BOB I would take the table top sharpener with me would you? Also, is there a stone in the wild that can be used to sharpen a knife? Do you prefer a full tang versus a foldable tang, Sir? Please will you direct me to a video that will give me the pros and cons of a full tang versus a foldable one, Sir? Get a Wicked Edge Sharpening System to cover ALL of your knife sharpening!! To check your degree of bevel, run a sharpie down the edge lightly, your stone will easily remove the sharpie and leave it where it didn't touch, adjust the angel until a swipe removes all of the sharpie.

I've been using this Worksharp Kit for little over 8 months now . Holy rusted metal batman is it an awesome piece of kit . I can sharpen multiple knives in 10 minutes or less . They finally released the leather Strap attachment bot to long ago . That attachment is probably my favorite .

The reason your “gritty” edge cuts material better Is it has because it has like microscopic saw teeth and can grasp the material. The more polished edge will some times slide over the material because it can't grasp material. The finer edge will shave better but for a working edge about 800 grit is great.
