Love, love, love this rendition by the truly wonderful Eddi. This was played at my husbands funeral in 2012. It made my all ready flowing tears go from a trickle into a sunami. Certainly put into words the love I had, and still have for my number one boy.
Superb. I was at that party ... it was 1973/4/5/6/7/8/9 ... birthdays, christmas, new year, bank holidays ..... so many memories flooding back in 6 minutes with an angel
Oh good greif, I started to remember so much. I remembered my late Auntie Maime and Uncle Jack, the parties at their house and the singing. Dancing with my late cousin Harry. I couldn't help it, the tears just fell, I miss them so much. If there's a heaven, then there's a party going on.
My mother's song in gatherings like this was another Doris Day song, Que Sera Sera. Her name was Sarah. She always said that song was written for her. Always mesmerised listening to Eddie.
We weren't in a tenement but I remember my lovely Aunt Eleanor's house at the New Year, and one singer one song, and this one is so special it made me cry! I hope there's a heaven too Lori, coz they'll all be there xx
