During his lifetime Eddie Cochran never got the Recognition, Respect and deserved Glory from the American public! Thanks to all of his UK fans he will get it forevermore!!
Hes the first person I really got into , about 10 , 1970 ish, later I went back see if who I liked young was really as good as I thought , as people always knock your judgement , Eddie Cochran is quality , so back here today , I was talkikgvabput music toba black guy once , like I do , he bought up Eddie which is what jolted my memory , he was saying what a quality singer he was , and he is .
Something Else is one of the greatest rockers ever. It's hard to think of something more killer. I say it in 2024. In the 90s, my band gave homage to Summertime Blues to enthusiastic audience response. Well, that's some recognition.
When I was 13 I heard this on a top 40 rock station in Austin TX and it totally knocked me out man! I wondered who the heck is this and listening now 54 years later it still knocks me out!!! Such super hip relaxed vocals and a great sounding guitar solo. Eddie was a real seasoned blues rockabilly player. Amazing! And the vocals about rival Bobby Darin! Just excellent!
Let me tell you about a girl I know, she's my baby and I love her so Every morning when the sun comes up She brings me coffee in my favorite cup, that's why I know, yes I know Hallelujah I just love her so When I call her on the telephone She says baby, I'm all alone By the time I count from one to four She'll be knocking on my door In the evening when the sun goes down And there ain't nobody else around She kisses me and she holds me tight She says baby everything is alright That's why I know, that's why I know Hallelujah, I just love her so Hallelujah, I just love her so Hallelujah, I just love that chick so
Let me tell you 'bout a girl I know. She is my baby and she lives next door. Ev'ry morning 'fore the sun come up, She brings my coffee in my fav'rite cup. That's why I know, yes, I know, Hallelujah, I just love her so. When I'm in trouble and I have no friends, I know she'll go with me until the end. Ev'rybody asks me how I know. I smile at them and say she told me so. That's why I know, yes, I know, Hallelujah, I just love her so. Now if I call her on the telephone, And tell her that I'm all alone By the time I count from one to four, I hear her on my door. In the evening when the sun does down, When there is nobody else around, She kisses me and she holds me tight. And tells me "Daddy ev'ry thing's all right." That's why I know, yes, I know, Hallelujah, I just love her so.
