looked like he had a few more, you realize if you add 2 reps to this set it puts him at an estimated 1013 beltless wrapless squat... that beats ray williams without a belt... if he did a 975 squat, 600 bench, and 925 dead ( which is he has done before besides the squat but this video pretty much proves thats where he is...) it would put him at a 2500 total with no belt and not training powerlifting specific. thats mind boggling

i did not realize that ray had hit more at the arnold... but still insane regardless of ONE person on earth being better at ONE lift than him lol

tim patterson He has done a 500 kg dead lift and 1013 squat (estimate) and he says he can can do 700 bench (in the video "chest day with Eddie hall) which equals out to about 2816 total

Also, you seen how whipped that bar is? It’s longer than a normal bar, so that probably makes it super difficult also

Go away with lbs! It's only used in lifting ro flex. 100 kg bench sounds much worse than a 225 lbs bench

I'm wondering if Eddie could set a new RAW powerlifting WR for the total?
@gimu9834
@gimu9834 3 года назад
Watch strength universe. They have a video on the current WR holder and Eddie head to head. Great video. Eddie smashes him in everything besides squat but I am pretty sure if Eddie only had to train 3 lifts instead of Strongman, he would smash the squat too.
@MulletMan3108
@MulletMan3108 2 года назад
@@gimu9834 Think I saw that. Also strongmen never have to train 1rms for squat so with a 12-18 months specific training I think Eddie back in his prime would get there.

Eddie said his best one rep max was 405 kg (892lbs) which is still ridiculous, but he said it was completely raw (no belt/wraps/nothing). So just imagine, with a squat suit, knee wraps, belt, everything under ideal conditions like what he did with the WR deadlift… god damn I can’t even imagine what number he’d put up 😂 way over 1,000
@driessen16
@driessen16 4 месяца назад
Based on this video his estimate 1rm should be 437kg but he probably could’ve done 5 more reps

is this 1 of 3-4 sets? or was he testing his max reps with this weight? it looks like he had a few more in the tank.

The bar is still bent after racked due to the weight that's on it. It's also an 8ft bar which has a lot more flex.

Hurry up and win WSM Ed these are elite level powerlifting numbers (as I'm sure you're aware) Kirill should have one eye on this! Awesome power.

James Scott Eddie should definitely go into competitive powerlifting after strongman. He's great at all three lifts which is scary.
@Christian-vq8rd
@Christian-vq8rd 7 лет назад
joe nolan Sarichev has done 661 for four. it's hard to say exactly how much Eddie's 1RM would be as some people are stronger with higher reps. I do think he'd probably be close to 700 right now. Switching to over-under in deadlift would probably bring him under 1000 for a while. I'd guess he could easy do a 900 squat with sleeves right now. I know he wants to win the wsm. I do hope (and think) hell go into powerlifting after, but I also know he wants to get about 100 lbs smaller. He's got kids and is only 27. Way too many guys die young in strongman. It's just too much of everything.
@Christian-vq8rd
@Christian-vq8rd 7 лет назад
joe nolan Possibly! It is pretty amazing how long Eddie pauses too. The guy is probably has the most brute strength on the planet. It'll be interesting to see what happens this year. For now, Shaw's got him on stones, overhead tossing, and (most importantly) not getting hurt in competition. Hafthor is another nightmare as he and Shaw seem perfectly suited for strongman and Eddie for powerlifting, but we'll see.

joe nolan Christian 78 I forgot he actually competed in a Push/Pull and totaled 700kg! couple of years ago now..one of his most recent squat videos is 345 for 8.. Really adds up !

great assasment, i think similar too. he should watch out for his health , i think he could go 400 squat 280-300 bench and around 400-430 dead

@alberteisenmann1023
@alberteisenmann1023 3 года назад
Not overnight. But everybody who has a little bit potencial for muscle building and go in the gym gets mutch more muscle size when he takes sterioids and HGH for months and for years. That's the truth. And who don't know that and don't understand that is either stupid or an idiot. What would all this professionals look like if nobody of them has ever taken sterioids and HGH and other shit ? Professional bodybuilding is more a kind of chemical competition than a sport competition.
