Out of all the opinions expressed after this fight, Eddie Hearn's is probably the most balanced. He's the only one who's given Junior props for getting as far as he has with no trainer and lacking fundamentals. However, I do think too much blame is being placed on Senior. Junior is a grown man and it's ultimately been his decision not to have a trainer not his Dad's. I'm sure his Dad would've preferred him to have a trainer and was the one who bought Adam Booth on board. If Junior chooses not to listen to a trainer, thats no-one else's fault but his own. Hopefully he is man enough to put his ego to one side and make the necessary changes.

A trainer is an absolute must have for any boxer, the idea of going for world titles without one is insane, you won't be able to progress at elite level if you do not have the fundementals the sport requires.

You need an expert guiding hand to teach you to LISTEN AND LEARN from someone who hasn't got tunnel vision like both Eubanks. Junior is the way he is because his role model Father was faulty and so the son is faulty too. Has there ever been a champion boxer (or a champion sportsman of any kind) that didn't have a trainer? No, there hasn't ...and Junior won't ever be the first. Junior ought to bar his father from his life for the next few years in order to succeed in his career. If he does that and gets an great trainer then I know for sure he will be a world champ. And not a world chump.
