@@guyjackson1261no he said he wanted to win a trophy with Newcastle, and as long as the board continues to support him he wants to stay, it's the media that have decided to take what he said out of context.
@@jamesfretwell1511 As long as the board continue to support me is what is known as a caveat my friend, so yes. He was a little cagey in the interview and reliable sources say way more so in off camera interviews. I am a Newcastle fan, I really want him to stay but am also not blind. The changes to staff structure and Stavely & Mehrdad leaving clearly have him unsettled and concerned about the level of control he will have.
Bore off...ao many people said last season "oh Howe isn't the man to take newcastle to the next platform" he is, so bore off saying he wants the England job when he said its not a priority. Media pressure for him to take it
On the list of candidates for me only 1 manager out there who can handle pressure and get the best out of his players and it's pep from man city,we have a group of talented young players coming through come on fa get the best and we can finnalythink about winning something 🏴🇬🇫🦁🌟👍💛💚
and it really does speak volumes to what the footballing world actually thinks of this so called world class talent england has when hardly anyone is interested in managing them, I guarantee spain and germany wouldnt have a problem attracting a manager capable of winning a title. Especially when the england team shown such dire performances in the euros....why would anyone want to take charge in its current state? and this is down to the players as well as southgate they both underperformed.
Howe's a day-to-day training coach. He gives that up to take the England job. He's also paid far better at Newcastle, and for his personal legacy, he wants a trophy or two at club level before he throws his hat into the ring to manage England. He's only in his 40s. He WILL get another opportunity to manage England. Unless something at Newcastle pushes him out the door, I don't see him leaving anytime soon.
Of coz everyone who r not Newcastle supporters wants Eddie Howe to leave Newcastle. The rise of Eddie Howe's Newcastle Utd hav made many of the "big 6" fans very upset
If the FA approach EH and tell him he's on a shortlist, EH will turn them down. If the FA approach EH and tell them he's their first choice, I reckon he might talk to them. As a Toon fan, I hope I'm wrong...
Howe hasn't won anything as a manager, Potter hasn't won anything as a manager, Lampard hasn't won anything as a manager. If Tuchel was English there wouldn't even be a debate. 10 major trophies and a former world coach of the year.
Of course he’s ready. Managing internationally is fairly straight forward. You have to have good man management, and moderate tactical nous. Let’s say Southgate had one base covered.
He didnt need to by everything else he said. He basically said he wants to win a trophy at Newcastle, and as long as the board have confidence in him he see's no reason to leave the club. I guess if you want to cling onto the hope he will take the job, simply because he didnt say the words you needed to hear before believing him, then I guess that's on you.
I'm a newcastle fan I don't want howe to leave but he would be a great England manager newcastle will undo undoubtedly fall off slightly because of this psr stuff I think he should go before the fans start to hate him
Pace, wingers, speed, tricky players... remind you of anyone? Hint...they play in red and just won Euro 2024... Remind you of anyone else? Hint... most of them just sat on the bench for this team... I don't blame him wanting to stay at Newcastle but I think he'd be great and will be England manager one day... but today is not that day.
It's not perfect at all. Not sure why it's being portrayed in that way. England is a hit show and you only get a few weeks with the players. That's not what Eddie wants. That's not what newcastle want. Or the owners. It's pie in the sky.
Like Capello was ? There won't be any shortage of candidates and someone will want the job and get it but what difference will it make ? Qualification to a tournament almost guaranteed. Then get through the group stages. Then , trouble and eventual failure. Then the repercussions begin under the public spotlight.....the players are not good enough, they are good enough but not fit enough, they are fit enough but can't play as a team, they were played in the wrong positions, their attitude was wrong, their attitude was right but the results were fixed, the tactics were wrong, we underestimated the opposition, the players were tired after a long season. That just about covers every eventuality of what will happen. Like being the prime minister, who on earth would want the job.
What a stupid comment. He basically dragged Bournemouth from relegation places in league 2 up to the premier league, and kept them there for five years. He then saved Newcastle from certain relegation, and no other club had survived from the position Newcastle was in. The following season he finished in the champions league, and probably would of done that again last season if it wasnt for him having a average of 12 players out per game throughout the season, so to compare him to a guy who's only job in club management ended in him taking the team down.
Yeah but Lionel Scaloni and that De La Fuente hasn't got any or much experience either and they won World Cup, Copa America and De La Fuente has Euro. English don't understand football that's why no one wants to recruit english managers. And I'm half English. Japanese are more smart than any English managers. Moriyasu beat Germany 2ce and Spain. 10 games wins in a row with so many goals too.
Eddie howe is mid table manager at best. Hiring him for england will be a total disaster. If you want to win the world cup, only one manager can do it - pep guardiola. So just wanting to hire an english manager will be our own downfall.
@@JJSpence15 Sven and Crappello had no management experience in England. Why did FA chose them? So stupid. Both of them can't even speak English properly. No FOREIGNERS have won the world cup. You MUST have nationalistic pride and patriotism.
