Yeah, those Wolverine bars hit a lot harder when you get the context behind them. He definitely won once you understand everything. Denji definitely put up a fight, though
@@angelicwarrior118 cool I think that power’s lines were funny, but her verses don’t have the absolute punches that Nezuko’s had imo. Both her finishers were brutal, as well as the beginning of her first verse As for wolverine vs Denji honestly its again a really close battle and I can see either winning, but for me i feel like wolverine’s first verse was what slightly gave him the edge since I found it a little stronger than Denji’s. Both their second verses were crazy though lol
@@colemanjames217 I think Denji’s first was better than Wolverine’s first, but that’s just me. For Power vs. Nezuko, Power barely lost the first round, and came SWINGING in round two; her Zenitsu threat is secretly a relevant diss to Nezuko, and the second half of said verse was all-in. Nezuko fell flat with two repeats (the griddy line, if viewed as a diss, is a repeat of the “off the lights” line and the last line, while it did bring in some new context to its initial form, is a repeat of the “pointing fingers” line) that round. While the “female anime Hitler” line appear to stage a comeback for Nezuko, the repeated disses I mentioned were enough for her to fall flat enough for Power to win. In the end, however, we can have differing opinions and I’m not forcing anyone to side with me.
The “skeletons in your claw set” hits harder when you realize that Wolvy killed his real dad with said claws, and he did this looong before Weapon X ever screwed up his life.
A lot people miss Denji's "you jack off" line. If you listen closely, he says it in a way that sounds like Hugh Jack off, which is a play on Jackman, the actor for Wolverine. Welcome to Die is a reference to Magneto's funny and famous quote in the 1992 X-Men Arcade game. Also, I think Wolverine won. Denji hit hard on a lot of his lines mainly his Weapon X trauma , but ex-man/testicles line, that demon/redeeming rhyme scheme were hard and I think Denji got the first verse a little more, but Wolverine came back in that last verse. It's like he was saving it.
14:27 So glad to see someone else who thought Denji won. This battle was for sure close and even if Wolverine had consistent hard-hitting haymakers, I’m justifying and defending Denji with them.
…continuing from my original comment, I understand the grand majority of Wolverine’s disses, and I’ve decided to justify Denji on the ones that can. Those who say Wolverine won aren’t actually wrong, though.
Denji was fucking COOKING until the back to back "cost an arm and a leg and an arm and a leg AND A BODY" & "When you finally got Makima to bang You were Power-less"
"Welcome to die" is a line from magneto in an old x men game. I think he was supposed to say something like "youre welcome to die" but either way, the line has been memed a lot
Bro, i'm so SOOOO happy you reacted to this cuz 1. For me, this is Eddies funniest battle, cuz MY GOSH, there was just so many pearls amongst this whole thing and 2. I'm fan of Wolvie myself, so allow me to explain a bit further on who Cornelius is.Dr. Abraham (first name of his) was, basically, the guy responsible for turning Wolverine into Wolverine lol, since he was in charge of the Weapon X project, during WW2. Anyway homie, GREAT reaction as always, you NEVER fail to bring an smile to my face and i'll see ya next time, hopefully
this is the first youtuber i've seen that thought denji won. i personally think you hyped up denjis 1st verse a bit to much but i respect your decision. once you understand more of wolverines disses tho they definitely hit a bit harder, that's why i think wolverine won
