My Aunt's boyfriend had rock albums at my gramas house when I was 5 or 6 and my mom loved counry western music constantly playing at our house. So my mom bought me a small radio to listen to Rock stations under my piillow in 1970.
well done, could you please get Twiggy Ramirez into one of your next podcasts? His story about meetin' you in a random shop and tellin^you his band's tryin' to make it, is comedy gold.
Just found this. French is the coolest dude in Sister. Fan of Ed. Great show. In closing KISS is my favorite band ever. French nailed Chiam and Stan when he said “they ran it into the ground”. Truer words have never been spoken. They should have retired the makeup and got Bruce back.
Great interview! Eddie is King of the Metal Fans. Twisted Sister was my first metal band when I was a little kid in 1984/5 and metal is to this day my #1 genre of music. Have a TS patch proudly sewed onto my battle jacket. Was a real joy listening to these two legends 🤘🏻🖕🏻
1:04:27 I agree with this one and adding not all metalheads are white or have long hair. It’s a very diverse community and we are very passionate about the lifestyle and culture. Proud heavy metal fan since 05/22/06 = 18 years and still going strong. 🤘🏾
I really think that the metal scene is coming back around. People are just tired of the crap music out there today. Grudge was supposed to bring true hard rock back, not take it away completely. I grew up in the late 80's metal, Grudge Era. 84 to 94 and I played in so many garage bands, and I never heard anyone say we want to end 80's metal. Every band, every musician I ever talked to, just wanted to take it back to like 1978 Sabbath and Zeppelin, but where we disagreed with metal, was you had the first wave bands 80 -83. It went from Destroyer Captain Howdy and I'm insane, I wanna be somebody and shout at the devil, to more than words, down boys, when I see you smile. And all grudge wanted to do was go back to real music about real life. Bands like Metallica, Pantera and White Zombie we listened to, just like Alice in Chains but it always seemed like you had the 2nd and 3rd copy bands. We just wanted real hard rock and metal. Listen I grew up on everything from Blackfoot to Heart to ZZ Top. I miss the diversity of the late 70's and 80's
Doctor Eddie Ganja Here can you get Carl Cannedys on your show his book is awesome Tales of a Wild Dog The New Rods album is great and Also Riot Act Rick Ventura from Riot would be Great and how about Kate Clover Keep Rocking Eddie
I don't know why rock/metal fans find him polarizing. Anybody who keeps the rock/metal flame burning in this day and age---where culture is dominated by lame pop and rap---is OK in my books
Sadly, Mr Trunk’s insistence on inserting himself so embarrassingly into his work renders him unlistenable to me. I want to hear only from the artist; the interviewer is not in the focus of interest.
