Eddie Cheever - the best ever american in Formula 1. 3rd place in an uncompetitive Arrows at Detroit in 1989, one of the best street course drives ever.
@@fiarandompenaltygeneratorm5044 The eghties in F1 were the most challenging as the cars were faster and had huge HP numbers and it was before computers took over. Its not just the achievments on paper. Great drivers, but they didn't race as much in f1. Mario lucked with Lotus, in that car anybody would become a champion. The competition in the 80's was the toughest ever in F1.
@@kg0173 So when Cheever had access to a championship calibre car with Renault, and Prost annihilated him? I guess you're just going to say "French politics" or some nonsense? Hahaha. No one...and I mean NO ONE in their right mind thinks Eddie Cheever is even close to Mario Andretti. Cheever didn't do anything in IndyCar until he was racing people like Billy Boat after the split. He was mid-level talent who underachieved in F1 when he got his opportunities. Same in IndyCar. As soon as the good drivers were gone, he suddenly found himself slightly better than the Greg Rays and Buddy Laziers of the world. What a talent. Haha.
@@fiarandompenaltygeneratorm5044 Cheever was pretty good in CART, like 1992. But he never had an access to equipment like Newman Haas at the time, that could lap the field with any driver. American driver alonside Prost in French team? Are you kidding! He had no chance and it was already documented the role he had in this team. No way he could win there, but he did more than any other driver would, especially coming from USA. He did way better than Michael Andretti alongside Senna and I think Michael is way too much underrated, he showed his skill in the late 90's when Newman Haas was no way as good. Your opionion is so biased and so predictable, you just have no clue.
@@kg0173 You literally made the PREDICTABLE excuses I said you would. Hahaha. I cited you facts, sir. You just started rambling about other drivers (Michael Andretti). We all know what it means when you resort to red herrings...Good luck being President of the Eddie Cheever Fan Club. All 3 of you must have a great time at meetings! Hahaha.
