Obrigado Edyy grante.
Simplesmente adoro!!! 🥲
Used to dance like a crazed thing around the living room as a child in apartheid era south africa to eddy grant. Much respect to this man for hit after hit of catchy tunes and helping to break down barriers which needed breaking with his music in south africa. Great memories. Great music.Thank you Eddy!
@@markosan3366 gosh. As a summary I guess Id say that as a child i didn't really know a lot of what was going on. But i noticed things, which i questioned or found odd. Like, why were there no black children at my school? But Eddy and Tina Turner were eye opening for me because they were black, creative, exciting and powerful. I saw Tina on the Tv and was mesmerised. I saw Eddy's music videos too & loved Eddys music and played the record till it 'got scratched' (it wore out with constant play). Because of these examples, as a child, I already knew what black people could be (if empowered by opportunities) before i understood what apartheid was or ,even, that i was living in it. The importance of positive role models!
NOSSA GERAÇÃO TEVE O PRIVILÉGIO DE VIVER O MELHOR DAS CANÇÕES MARAVILHOSAS, QUE SAUDADE, QUANDO ÍAMOS SAIR PRA DISCOTECA ERA MARAVILHOSO,AS PAQUERA, DAVA AQUELE FRIOZINHO NA BARRIGA,,, PENA QUE O TEMPO PASSA RÁPIDO DEMAIS, MAIS AGRADEÇO A DEUS POR ESTAR AQUI, PRA CONTAR HISTÓRIA
I worked in a certain crappy white-goods store that doesn’t exist any more. All the salesmen were men who wore white coats. All the cashiers were women. Drunks and unemployables and “youth opportunities” kids aborted by the economy. We danced to this while we cleared up and locked up.
Killer on the rampage is one of my favorite albums of all time Eddy had this amazing fusion of infectious pop hooks with Eddys original music he's one of a kind
