Just 3 tips or controls to be aware of: 1. Reload is R1 if you wish to refill your clip. The game doesn't really tell you about this, but just something to keep in mind. 2. When aiming, I think you can switch shoulders by clicking the L3 button (Left Analog Stick). Say if you're trying to shoot from a different angle, you can try this. I can't remember if it's an option to enable in the setting, but you can double check if you wish to. 3. When you are behind cover, you can simply press/hold R2 to blindfire enemies so you don't have to aim then shot. It is especially convenient when enemies are a bit close to you. I think in the Nathan Drake Collection, they show you a blindfire reticle to show you the area where bullets will possibly land. These mechanics apply to the majority of Uncharted, so it's relatively the same in each game. Anyways, I'm glad you're enjoying your playthrough. Despite the first game having a bit of issues with its controls, the story and characters is where it truly shines. Can't wait to see more in the future.👍

Ah yes, the game that is so stressful. Partially due to how... interestingly Nathan jumps and moves... partially due to an army of grunts trying to shoot you down. Haha that one grenade toss at the annoying guy who was using the turret... so satisfying to pull off

it's true that the climbing mechanics feel a little clunky if you aren't used to them but once you get into the flow of Uncharted climbing it feels as natural as it did in Uncharted 4.

Sorry, but it warms my heart to see you struggle a bit with the platforming because I had the same problem. Difference is I had to get my son to help me get past some of the worst parts - of which there were quite a few. 😬

When I saw you get through the Blue Room (the room with the blue walls/lights near the end of Level 5 with all the enemies) like you did I knew that you had reduced the difficulty. It was still difficult, but I was like "There's no way this is Crushing". So it was nice for you to explain at the end that you had reduced the difficulty level.

51:50 Casually did the Blue Room first try on hard. Not bad, sir 👌🏻 This and the 'Trapped' room are considered the two hardest rooms in the game

If you're like me, then you're going to really love the second game! I mean, that opening train scene (no spoilers btw) is Still one of my favorites to this day! I, too, Cyn, was a late-bloomer for Drake, lol. But, man, once you get into his series, it hooks ya.

Tip: you can shoot your gun from behind cover without having to peak and get shot at by just pressing R2 to shoot... and for the love of God reload your GUN!!! 😅

Mercenaries were all hired from a theatrical improve troup, thats why they have such dramatic deaths

In their original releases of these games, Crushing was locked behind completing the game at least once, so you could only play it on the second playthrough onward. The only exception was 4, which made it look like Crushing was locked, but you could actually select it and the game would ask "are you sure?" before letting you proceed anyway. I gotta say that it's really cool seeing someone do their first ever playthrough on Crushing and handling it pretty well!

I died so many times in this game, and I played it on normal. 😂 But I think in terms of gameplay and climbing, the first game hasn't aged well. But from Uncharted 2 and onwards, they are still a masterpiece.

I have all of the uncharted games and it is probably the best series I ever played (besides Mass Effect of course). I hope you play all of them.

Too bad you didn't find the Jack and Dexter easter egg. Fortunately you will be able to find it in the following games.

The most common criticism people had of these games was "too many enemies." Still, they're great and should have been the direction Tomb Raider went.

At this point of the game you start to realize that Nathan Drake is one of the greatest mass murderers in all video games - when you look at the numbers. Take a look at your Statistics page from the main menu and check out your Kill Count. It's amazing how many people Nathan kills in just this game alone.

i miss these games

I am simply amazed of how much focus you seem to employ to not be able to read the onscreen prompts; unless you absolutely need to use the mechanic and/or ability to progress... *lol*

I know Naughty Dog isn't planning on another Uncharted game, but imagine if they did one with the realistic violence of the Last of Us games. Whenever you shoot people in the head, instead of them just falling over or doing a little head bob, you see their heads explode with brain matter all over the place when you look at the bodies instead of just them laying there like they're asleep. When a grenade goes off or they're hit with a launcher, they just fly up in the air and look like they're just doing snow angels on the ground instead of being splattered all over the ruin walls and jungle greenery.

Yeah, that's the biggest problem with this game, there are a LOT of enemies, every wave seems to consist of at least two small armies, and there are a lot of waves too. But I think it makes up for it with the story, music, characters, and atmosphere. Amy Hennig did a good job with this series, it's just a shame she didn't get to finish it, as she "left" Naughty Dog during the development of Uncharted 4, as I understand it. And if I understand it correctly, they threw her original script into the garbage bin, and she who shall not be named got involved. And seeing how much you seem to "love" the controls, and Nathan's countless falls to his death, there's a part later on in the game that I just know will make you ecstatic 😁😆 That part of the game is infamous. But don't worry, the 2nd and 3rd games are way better in that regard. They do however have one or two places that are pretty challenging, to put it mildly. The devs at Naughty Dog love their steep difficulty curves. Nice going though, as I said in my comment in the last episode, you're a better player than me. For example, you just waltzed through that cistern, dodging bullets, like it was a walk in the park. I hate that place!

The over dramatic deaths seemed to me at the time to be on purpose, to go with a silly over the top action movie with extras just trying to show off their stuntman skills like one sees in said films. That and the literal hordes of people you have to go through, in the early games, mostly this one, it’s cartoonish how many there are. It gets better and more refined throughout the series.

They should remake uncharted 1-3 like they did with the last of us

When you play 2 I recommend that you play it on normal difficulty and not on hard, when you reach the end of the game you will appreciate it, everyone who has played it will know why I say it
