Canelo and Óscar might not be in good terms anymore, but Canelo would not have reached this level without Oscar’s help with his career. Nothing but respect for eddy but he did say “I never even laced a glove on Virgil” in his time at his gym… so does that kind of confirm why Virgil and Ryan parted ways? That he wasn’t as involved as they wanted. Maybe his model is to have a training system in place with hired hands to run it on the day to day and he just shows up occasionally as the overseer. And for the high price he likely charges some fighters expect more?
He left this out, Eddie also said that they (Ryan n his plp) are making more of this. He said Ryan went to his Gym, used his gym where Ryan and Ryan’s father trained for a total of 10 days and that’s it. Eddie said that he never even put a pair of gloves on him. They discussed the potential of training him but Ryan was never trained by Eddie and in away shape or form and was not even following any regime provided by Eddie. Sounds like to me that Ryan wanted to be catered to….
