For as long as I can remember my grandma has a music box she always keeps on her dresser and it’s this exact tune just a little higher pitched and a tad bit faster.

Same but my grandma had a clock that would play this and a few other songs with dancing clowns and colored lights Always used to sit in front of it and watch it every time it went off. Now that she’s passed it’s bittersweet hearing the tune chime in our living room

When I was young my grandma had a “pull-string” style music box next to her front door that played this *exact* tune. I’d swear I was listening to it. I hadn’t heard it in years and forgotten what it was. I went on a quick search and found this. Thank You for bringing back some sweet memories of childhood! Miss you gram!

Is the name of the manufacturer of this musicbox R3? I have listened to other musicboxes that play Edelweiss but they play too fast and are higher pitched. This one sounds best

@@derickcardenas7973 This is not a music box you can buy, this arrangement was made in a software. If you want to buy a real music box, you could probably find a cheap 18 note that plays 10 seconds of the song, a 30 note, a 50 note or a 75 note. The 50 note and the 75 note could either play the entire song on 2-3 revolutions, or could play it could be just one of the tunes it plays. You could also buy an antique disc music box, that plays music on interchangeable discs. The final option is a programmable music box. You punch holes in special music box paper to program a song. the good thing about this type is that the song can be as long as you want, but you need some musical skill. I am trying to find a music box that fascinated me as a young lad. I found out what the name of it is. Apparently it is a 1978 YAPS music mirror, but all the ones I am finding the music box plays "You Light Up My Life," and that is not the tune this one plays. I remember always cranking it up and asking my mom for the flying bird that went on the mirror. As the tune played, the seagull would dance over the mirror on a beach scene that was painted on the mirror. For the life of my I don't know the name of the tune. I can hear it playing in my head, but I would love to actually hear it once more. I have found others by the company with different designs, one plays a theme from "Love Story," which isn't it, and another plays "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" with a different scene painted on it, which also isn't the correct song for the one I remember.
