Man... i called your blof! Its not about what you say - it's about what you DON'T say! "Due to the situation". Seriously, this is pissing me off. Yes, it's a horrifying thing what's happening, but at the same time, I feel sorry for Jewish people outside Israel. Like in my city here in England, I saw a young male punch a Jewish kid in the side of the face just for being a Jewish person. History is supposed to remain historical, not repeat. Just like Eden Golan, a 20 year old SINGER, with emphasis on SINGER. She's not a fucking Lieutenant or General or part of Netanyahu's people making political choices, she's a SINGER. She shouldn't have to be guarded to and from a hotel room she's being locked in for having received thousands of death threats just because she was born in Israel, but raised outside. Death threats have even been given to the singer for Luxembourg because she's Jewish and her parents are from Israel. They didn't choose where they were born or where their parents come from, none of us do. That's like people pointing at me and going "COLONIZER" because I'm British but wasn't alive during the age of the Empire. Fuck sake.

I am British-Ukrainian, currently living in Ukraine, am Slavic not Jewish but tbh am absolutely shocked that Britain has turned into such a Jew-hating place. I used to love the UK and still do… But am finding it increasingly difficult to make sense of it. None of this nonsense is going on here in Ukraine. I like Eden. I love the song, but I wouldn't say I like that it was written to spread Israel's political message. Nothing is wrong with that. Ukraine won in 2016 with a straightforward political song, but I'm overwhelmed with politics like most people, so it's not the winner. It might end up in the top 10, though, which is a good result for Israel's government. They'll be happy acknowledging that still there are people who support their actions. But my winners this year is France and Greece.

They judje the song based on what they think they know of the political climate in israel, with no actual reference to the quality of the song, which makes this whole “review” pointless and irrelevant.
