Could you solve question 2a and 8 ii b of this paper? In 2a, please explain how to get the +- square root of two as the final answer without using the calculator, as the calculator gives a decimal answer. In 8 ii b, please explain in detail how to solve these kind of questions. Thank you in advance sir. :)
While you wait... look at the answer to part (b) of this question... it is very similar and you may get how to do it yourself. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N5il2RputF8.html
That is a very good question and I should have mentioned it in my answer. If you look back carefully at the actual question it doesn't actually tell us to find the area between the function and the two given limits. Rather it simply asks us to find the value of the integral of that function between the given limits. If the question had told us to find the area then you would be correct and we would state that area should be a positive value. However as its just the value of the integral asked for then it can be negative.
sir for part (a) when you plug the equation into the calculator using the integral and plugging the log2(2X) DX into it, I get 45.990 , therefore its 46. Am i right or wrong?
