feel like my main concern with a lot of this is that his best method honestly not attacking. In my experience, Edgar is one of if not the best aristocrat commander, with cards like butcher of malikir and grave pact available too him, he can sacc tokens and make his enemies wide open for his vamps that have words and effects.

How could you not mention the most important part of immerstrum predator? It’s a vampire DRAGON. that’s the coolest thing ever

I played Edgar last week and did not go wide faster than tymna/kodama. I got pub stomped by tymna kodama. Turn 3 smothering tithe, turn 4 parallel lives, turn 6 scute swarm. Turn 7 vindicate against my dreadhorde general planewalker. Turn 8 fiend hunter against player 3's avacyn. He had over a dozen treasure tokens, an online scute swarm, beasties bigger than my tokens. The moment edgar hit the field, swords to plowshares.

I think Unclaimed Territory works really well in 5c tribal EDH. I don't understand why you said to always cut it.

This video was very helpful! I just bought a judge promo Edgar Markov. I’m currently making a bunch of changes to my Strefan precon deck. Some of the cards I will be tossing in are Fiery Emancipation, Impact Tremor, Ojer Taq Deepest Foundation, and Mondrak Glory Dominus. I play with a group of guys who always plays competitive. I needed another deck that stings back 😂

They need to make a Vampire Commander in the same colors so you can play a "high power" vampire deck and a "mid-power" Vampire deck just by swapping the commander out. (or is there one that I didn't notice?)

Blade of the Bloodchief is broken if you can get it on Elenda. Also if it sticks around it can make any vampire huge. Iv actually won Games With Blade of the Bloodchief. Twilight Prophet is a great vampire, granted not a budget card, but most times youll have the city's Blessing and the extra "draw" is nice.

No Anointed Procession? You had the room and budget for it. It can make this deck got out of hand real fast.

Such necessary swaps! 40 creatures is a tad high. I'd take out Immersturm Predator, Callous Bloodmage and New Blood and add the Teferi's Protection, Boros Charm and Night's Whisper, since you're not running much ramp. Or swap those 3 for ramp. That's just my take on it.

In my opinion Anjes Ravenger is more useful as you think, in very aggressive deck you can draw 3 cards after attack, through falkenrath gorger you can summon them again with madness or through reanimate effects

Only 3 spells to destroy enchantments? And one of those is 6MV? What are we to do against blind obedience, ghostly prison, propaganda on turn 2 or 3?

Out of curiosity where were you looking at the decklist for cutting cards? Bc patron of the vein was in the precon

My Edgar is low to the ground with creature protection and recursion it so broken most folks won't let me play it. I also play 2 broken combos that go infinite with so many other stupid cards in edgar

My Edgar deck is go wide + Aristocrats as a backup. I have most of the vampires you cut in my deck along with the vampires you added. I put Felisa in mostly because I just wanted to play her. I agree with Falkenrath Noble. It's just too expensive for an aristocrats trigger when you have so many other, cheaper options. Also, I bought 2 boxes of TSR. How did I miss Minions' Murmurs for this deck AND Liesa?

Slaughter specialist doesn't do much? Damn, hard disagree. Sure it doesn't have trample or evasion, but at only 2 mana it can very quickly become a serious threat. Imagine you have cordial vamp out or play patron of the vein/olivia's judgement. At the very least it'll force your opponets to spend resources dealing with it and potentially take some heat off of some of the other vamps on the field or what you'll soon be playing.

Eminence is such a mistake 😆 Same with Commander Ninjitsu.

Also Throne of the Pharaoh God is brrrrrrrokennnnn. I've won games (damn near) solely with that card. Flood board with low drops, play aggro af.

I would love to see cards come out that absolutely hose Eminence abilities. Something like "Enchant player. Commander cards of enchanted player cost 1 more to cast. If the Eminence ability of enchanted player triggers, that player takes 2 damage". It is literally the worst rule they have ever added to Commander.

My Elenda the dusk rose deck is always sad when I see a awesome red vampire. I just dont like Markov. Eminence is just so broken.

You guys are so wrong about wedding announcement. It's a mechanical fail absolutely. No arguments, it's no good in the deck. But flavour fail? Are you insane? A deck of vampires where you can sack things. Human tokens make the most sense. Vampires eating humans. Ultimate flavour for a vampire focus. flavour wise it's perfect. Shit card for the deck though.

A crazy card in edgar markov his possibility storm. Does not really affect your deck since you will mainly be rolling 1 1mana vampire into an other one. But it make's it so hard for your opponents to interact with you.

I'm just going to throw this out here as I did in another tribal-focused video... buy Tsabo's Decree and/or Extinction if you have to play against these decks frequently.

Could just be me but I think you guys brought the mana curve up to high here. Edgar really thrives off of 1,2,3 costing vamps. In my experience anything above that has to be an absolute bomb to be worth it.

i´d never cut blade of the bloodchief. This equip is so nuts in edgar decks. Obviously in a 4 player format with a lot of sacing going on, the value itself is massive. Also it does give the counters to the creature, not the artifact. That means you can pass it around in your squad to make multiple threats that can not be dealt with with 1 single removal. Also it combos with SO MANY cards that you wanna play in this deck. Put that badboy on elenda duskrose => every dying creature (including your selfes sac enginges) puts 3 counters on elenda e.g. This is value engine and boardwipe protection. Wrath is played => sac all your stuff into any outlet => elenda gets like 30 counters and creates 30 1/1 vampires with LL after the wrath resolves. Essentially with a sac outlet you can transform all your free edgar 1/1s into 3 LL 1/1s if need be. Thats wicked. If you play lords, easily make that 2/2 or 3/3. You can create lethal by width incedibly fast. You play karlov? Enjoy getting 4 +1/+1 counters for every single dead creature on the board. You have a creature thats evasive and you cant quite finish sb of? Att with all, sac all blocked creatures into an outlet to boost your evasive creature for +2/+2 for each of them. That thing is 1 mana. Its nuts. Its easily the best equip there is and it benefits basically anyone. This is the artifact in my deck that pulls the single most hate. Maybe Bolas Citadel is on par, because that just wins the game instantly.

Guys - greak work and really good content every day. But, if I may, pretty sure you ranked Edgar as "poop" not too long ago .. so maybe, for the sake of consistency, don't do Edgar tech videos or at least show us the worst Tergrid deck possible :) ! All the best

I bought Eddy and was planning to build a deck with him. But.. I find him extremely boring to build around since his main ability is to never be played. I have had him for a year and I haven't even started building him yet because I already know how the deck will perform and there's really no exiting tricks. Play vampire. Buff vampire. Swing with vampire. Is there any other way to spice it up? I could see some kind of sacrifice, altar of dementia, ping when creatures enters your table or something as a bit of extra spice. But it would still mean I never play him. I think they really missed with these eminence commanders and made them stupidly powerful. Especially Edgar.

White vampire conquistador in ixalan that has a harbinger effect to tutor captivating vampire. My edgar markov strategy is based around cap vamp. Reviving it and even getting it back from exile like pull from eternity

Olivia Crimson bride + yahenni, undying partisan + patron of the vein is a pretty fun way to remove opponents creatures turn after turn. Throw in a kindred boon and have some enchantment removal handy and you'll be able to steamroll your opponents.

I love heavy token drops with black when using Gravepact, Edict of Erebos and Yawgmoth

I use mercadian downfall. It mostly kills any player with only a few vamps attacking

If you can't figure out this commander on your own then your father and I are disappointed in you.
