The SIMATIC IPC227E Plug & Play Solution collects the data, evaluates it and forwards it to the Schuler Cloud or the Siemens network. Schuler develops the applications for data acquisition and analysis as part of its Digital Suite. In addition to the standard applications, customer-specific applications can also be implemented on the Industrial Edge platform, which are then also installed as Docker containers on the Industrial Edge Device. Comprehensive security measures ensure that the data is protected from unauthorized access at all times. Due to the cloud applications, it is necessary to perform regular security updates as well as functional updates. Industrial Edge and the management system behind it are used for these types of updates.
