Entry No. 5 "Here I am now, in what seems to be a giant labyrinth of darkness. The oceans are angry and the thunder has grown louder. Horrifying abstract figures surround and haunt me. ...I wish I could be left alone." --- That movement was wild. You did a great job here, I love it. Fav tracks: 81 and 86
Movement 5 time: -The 79 track has a lot going in it. The barely coherent voices at the start. The Panning flickering noise on the right ear. The no longer recognizable mess. Pretty much everything I expected for a stage four track but towards the end, it greats pretty calm. It could be a clarity or something, but the birds do a nice touch. Hearing it go away and drowned into noise is sad. A great introduction to the album so far. -The 80th is another radio bumper but unlike Movement 4, I can't recognize any words besides the somewhat recognizable "Dandelion" from BoC. It's noisy but not over the top. Around 11:40 it seems to change and kind of calmer besides the weird banging synth noise. It fully kicks in 12:15 but this isn't a clarity. The best way I can describe it is a "confused bliss" segment. I did hear some distant pianos at around 14:00 and onward but the storm isn't gone yet. The confused bliss is gone 15:20 and becomes similar to EATEOT J1 but way more droney. -The 81st track jumpscared me. This track is wayyy harsher than first two tracks and I love it. It gets clammer at 18:45 but still like nothing in the first two. Around 20:20, some weird glitchy sound occurs I guess, I don't know how to describe it. At 23:08, something happens. I don't know if it's supposed to be clarity, but I can hear Minecraft music in the left ear, and it's pretty nice. Then it becomes unadultered noise at 25:50, similar to the start of this start and some the glitchiest Radio bumpers and music I heard. (Unrelated, I saw a tea bag swinging in the bottom left around in 25:11 lol.) -The 82nd track starts off with Dandelion but becomes unrecognizable. Some random grabbled noises for the most part. 29:00 and onwards, I hear some sort of creepy piano on the left ear, which is oddly the most normal noise in this section. At 30:35, the sound turns from drone chaotic to very glitched synth chaotic. Something happens in 33:30. It's still chaotic and confusing but with a beautiful drone in the mix. I hear some very stretched vocals. At 39:00 it becomes very empty and dark while still being noisy. At 42:22 is the music equilvent of being paranoid. Think that might this project's equilvent of the hell serins. When it went clam, thought it was over but nope, it has to scream at me with the energy of a thousand suns. Good stuff -The 83rd track first 5 minutes or so is stretchy uncoherent music, nothing too out of the blue for a Stage 4 track. The sound does change around 48:50 but has the same timbre but instead, it has choppy vocals. Around 50:10, I can some sort of blissful drone but everything else is too chaotic to enjoy it and stops abruptly. At 51:37 the drone trys to come back and but it fails, jump cutting into pure confusions again. Though it seems to get clammer at 53:30 and onwards. Yet again, probably one of those "confused bliss" moments. Around 56:00 I can some guitar noises (99% sure it's from King Crimson's Peace theme). I try to enjoy as much as it I can because I know it's going to away. After 58:10, it's gone and back to being in fear. -The 84th track is.... like a water pressure gun is being blasted into my ear. I don't know what else to describe it. At least the ending of it is calm but not for long. -The 85th track starts by flickering in into confusions. Voices can't even stick, let alone let out a coherent word. A mix of confused and sorrow I can interrupt this. 1:06:50 and after gets a little tense but still not as abrasive as the other tracks (also I don't know if it me, but I can hear sweet trip's glitchy noise hear). This reaches the climax of the track with huge roaring piano 1:08:10 and after. It ends 1:09:10 droney noise with still of that same glitchy noise (assuming it's sweet trip still). This ends with 1:12:15 marking on what I assume to be some sort of sub-clarity drone. -The 86th transitions nicely, very clam and droney. It has a very nice sound this track unironically makes good study music. Around 1:16:20 and onwards I like to think of it is similar to the windows 95 part of NATMOSR Y5, very clam with a hint of note thrown there. Definetly not what I expected for the word "Delirium". It slowly moves away to calming drones but still keeps the same level of dynamics, though some parts it's interrupted by static. Around 1:24:15, it starts to pick up around 1:25:00 is the climax of the peaceful drone, good stuff. 1:28:45 is some weird piano clairty but it falls into a descending drone, leading to the chaos of Movement 6. Overall, you know what. Imma give this a 10/10, I don't have any neagtive criticism.
Most notable visual moments: (Not including MOST hue shifts) 00:00:00 - 79 begins, a light crushed version of the cover is overlayed on the original, fading as the track progresses 00:07:10 - 80 begins, Cover begins blurring 00:15:07 - Blur starts receding 00:16:25 - Fade into dark 00:17:44 - 81 begins, violent flashes of red and yellow appear, corresponding to the audio 00:17:59 - Flashing stops 00:25:48 - Video appears in the background along with a quasi-clarity, appearing to be a video of someone flicking through television channels 00:26:47 - 82 begins, clarity ceases along with visual 00:33:24 - Cover begins blurring once more 00:38:11 - Blur subsides gradually 00:42:28 - A violent red appears, coinciding with heavily distorted audio 00:43:46 - Red shifts fade out with the audio 00:45:09 - 83 begins, solemn blue snaps to a olive green/red combo 00:49:39 - Cover darkens as a faint text begins appearing, reading "UNDERGOING TRANSMISSION" with a larger "SOS" above, going along with the morse signals in the audio 00:50:22 - Cover returns to pervious status 00:51:21 - SOS text begins glitching out, paralleling the signal 00:52:04 - Cover gains a blue hue, turning the olive into a dark purple 00:53:00 - Static fades into the "Revali's Flap" cutscene from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as a mangled voice of the same origin plays (i should know lol) 00:53:19 - Visual fades, leaving the cover a magenta hue 01:00:29 - 84 begins, a hue similar to the one seen in the yellow flashes of 81 takes hold 01:03:14 - Cover begins stretching and blurring to a worrying amount, becoming near unrecognizable at the end 01:03:31 - Cover reverts to normal and is left darkened and blue colored, flashing hot pink as "What the hell is wrong with you?" cuts in and out 01:03:51 - WTHIWWY stops playing as the cover begins fading further into darkness, only returning to former light when Gaster's Theme plays 01:04:03 - 85 begins, cover returns to complete light with a green tint 01:06:54 - Cover begins stretching akin to the segment of 84, along with heavy red color shifting 01:09:08 - Normality returns but cover is left monochrome 01:12:04 - Cover rapidly blurs 01:13:50 - Cover fades away, giving way to 01:14:00 - 86 begins, PhiSigma's "above the dusty streets" is replaced with "street ahjmemo 71 30k plural 6" from PIFEIGENBAUM and the clouds of the background are replaced with dust/stars 01:16:06 - Cover begins to gain color, starting as a bleak red and eventually becoming a vibrant blue 01:18:50 - Cover gradually blurs vertically 01:24:03 - Blurring fades 01:30:00 - Cover is crushed along with audio, ending movement 5
not GROUNDBREAKING but that last cover is sick af, i likie, also like how the vinyl like distortions from the first MOVEMENT make a return here i also like how calm everything gets, its kinda peaceful
I can imagine this would start more horrified and would be more harsh by the first half due to the patient not being in complete anosognosia, and in answer, being terrified. Then the later half will begin descending into a sort of "his own world" with some nightmarish moments due to psychosis and hallucinations
I love how cold most of the sections in this album are. It really feels at this point their suffering from isolation due to the ability to communicate to others being diminished because of cognitive impairment.
