EDH Deck Assist - Anikthea Enchantments Engine 

I am satisfied with this deck review How could I miss that video! When coming to the choices you pointed out, here's why I decided on including them: The number of lands is mostly dictaded by my inability to fit all the things that I want to put in it. I have fallen to the "just cut one land" curse. Out of Time is there because that's the most ridicolous thing ever. Aura Shards and two Seals can protect my Anikthea from being phased out. Even if I don't have them, trading Anikthea for commanders like Pantlaza or Meren always seemed like a good deal. Agent of Erebos is there, because at the time of making that deck Meren has been very prevalent on the table. That's my blowkiss for her. Ajani's Chosen / Archon / Bitterblossom / Awakening zone are there just to make more profit out of token doublers. That's that. Doomwake giant on its own is not that superb. His strenght comes from value granted by other enchantments. I incuded him as a reaccuring board-wipe. Defence of the heart... yeah. I noticed that it does not do well. My playgroup who know the deck started to completely ignore it. All the token doublers are win-more, I know, I just needed someone to say it. I always played them that they do not copy themselves, when entering as a token.

A note on the doublers (Anointed Procession, Doubling Season, Parallel Lives)- They are all *replacement effects*, not triggered abilities. (You can tell because they say "if x happens, do y instead" as opposed to "When x happens, do y." As the name implies, replacement effects replace an event. Because of this, if the replacement effect comes into existence after a given event has occurred, it can't go back in time to affect that event. Thus, the doublers will not double themselves when reanimated. On the subject of doublers, I'm not going to argue that the strongest version of an Anikthea deck wants them on the cutting floor. I will, however, posit that the *funniest* version of an Anikthea deck involves as many as there are, plus a choice selection of populate-style effects. The reason for this is simple: the first time a Doubling Season et. al. is populated, you get two additional tokens. The second time, you get eight. The third time, you get two thousand and forty eight. Any further populations will result in more tokens than particles that exist in the observable universe. There are many decks that can go infinite, but not as many that can go so absurdly finite!

I actually really like growing ranks now that I think of It because it very slowly clones itself, right ? The token copy can populate itself

I dunno ive never played a game where i could swing with a little 4/4 after turn 5 without it just being blocked by huge boards... you'd get one swing/reanimation and then she's gonna be too expensive to be worth it after that...
