Went for Edifier MR4 since my soundcard has got TSR outputs for monitors. Very decent for the price. Had a chance to compare them with Fluid Audio F4, Fluid are flatter and has got better separation but Edifier is pretty close, especially if placed correctly.
👍for the comparison demonstration of the speakers. MP4 sound more voluminous and cleaner, very close to the original, just what you need for your computer. I did not like the sound of the R1280TS at all, they sound deaf and muddy, there is no channel separation, as if the speakers were bolted to the trash can. The fact that they have a bit more bass doesn't make them any better, they are bass heavy, so they have a dull and muddy sound.🪣🔉🎶
Do I even need external speakers ? I currently use my notebook's speakers. Plus can use my wired Koss The Plug earphones if I need higher quality (music, some movies). The notebook speakers are fine for speech (youtube, videoconferencing, ...). And they take zero taking care of. Should I buy EDIFIER R1280DB, to be put onto my desk ? How will they compare with Koss The Plug earphones sound quality? Will I be happy?
Wow that comparison is exactly what I searched for, unbelievable lol. 1 question tho 😅 I'm looking into these two options to replace my Logitech Z-2300 2.1. Is it possible to use the Subwoofer of the Z-2300 with the R1280T or MR4? (I read somewhere that it would work safely if I split the audio signal with a Y-adapter connected to my PC or sth like that?)
Thanks for the video. If I may ask an off-topic question: could you do a tutorial on improving Wifi signal strength on Linux? For some reason, I watch the signal go from strong, to weak, to strong again, to disconnecting entirely, then reconnecting right away....very frustrating. I have noticed this issue on Parrot OS, Mint, Lubuntu, etc. Thank you again.
I have buy the mr4 now.. and i know how the 1280 sound.. the mr4 clarity is real good for its price but its lack of bass.. if u r more to bass.. go for the 1280..
The R1280Ts, paired with the T5 Sub from Edifier, sound good for the price. I use those with the Topping E30. I spent 330€ for everything and I'm really happy with this choose.
Unfortunately for Us or other people from 3rd countries, 300 something $ or € is what most of us made in a month. Yes food price, gas price, or real estate price here is lower. but sometimes I feel jealous to 1st countries with extremely cheap electronics and vehicles so you can have better lifestyle.
My exploration and research into Edifier started with 1280T, and then it led into another level up, another level up, and I ended up getting S2000MKIII speakers. After about a year, Optical input died, and after contacting Edifier, I was shipped brand new set which works great on my gaming setup
I wondering whats the difference in choosing between: A) RCA to 3.5mm B) 3.5 mm To 3.5 mm AUX front input, if i want to connect to my device such as laptop/phone/tab Is any obvious difference or just personal preference? I recently bought mR4 for my laptop desk mainly to connect with my instrument using audio interface 🙏 Please someone give advice. Thansk
I wanna got me some 1280DBS !!! I need them for Music (Listing) and PC Games... I Heard a lot about "Bringing the trebble to 100% will improve the sound quality alot" is that true ? And Thank you soooo much for this Compare 🥰 btw sorry for my English, its not the best i know... :D
@@KnowledgeSharingTech wich one would you recommend for mostly listing to music and watching Videos ? R1280DBS or MR4 ? Btw i can get the R1280dbs for the same price (100€) as the MR4. I have a small (like 15m²) room to cover, wich one would you prefer ?
Because most of the people that buy speakers around 100-120$ don't use a 300$ DAC to power them up ? This is kind of stupid to do such tests , people buy budget speakers for a reason I'm laughing so hard from tests of 50-120$ speakers that are tested with DAC's that are at least 3times more expensive than the speakers itself , If I have a 120$ budget for speakers I'm sure I don't have a 300$ lying around for a good quality DAC to power them up , ill use them to connect to PC or mobile.
@@Integroabysal Well he could've at least tested it with some budget audio interface such as Steinberg UR22 or Behringer UM2 which are about 50 euros, so it's not audiophile DAC but still better than phone or on-board PC audio sources just for a more complete comparison.
@@jibrilxisreal8037depends on your needs. If you just want to enjoy music MR4 are great for the buck. If you want studio monitors I'd recommend saving up and buying some entry level monitors from brand like Mackie. MR4 aren't really flat even in "monitor mode".
