Edifier R1700BT vs Microlab B77 || Sound Demo 

Just ordered the B77, I do enjoy its toning and its a huge upgrade from my tiny old 30 euro speakers and these looks and sound great and are just the right size for my setup :)

Thanks for this very helpful video. Based on this I shall go with the Edifier R1700BT.

From what I am hearing in this comparison - Defo will be going for B77. R1700 sound a bit better, but absolutely not enough to be worth the price in my region. B77 goes for about 63 to 70USD whereas the only R1700 I found were priced at over 220USD...

Did you record it using some equalization or the speakers were set to flat eq?

The B77 are good for the price but the Edifier ones are better sounding in every way, i can't believe how much punch they have.

I like the edifier sound but feel that the front port has an effect on bass performance.

Guys help me, it's still recorded, but... the thing is, i listen mainly to some Nightwish, vocal music, pop and i feel the R1700BT are more bassy and the highs are not that clear and present as it is with B77. Feels like 1700BT are more mid and bassy, maybe they will be better for hip hop music, i am not sure tho.

And about volume level wich one is the best/higher?

If you pay attention, you can hear, that the Microlab B77 has a flatter response, Better for monitoring. Also, better sound stage and imaging.

Very good sound the Edifier. Has far exceeded the Microlab; Also for the moment I continue with my Microlab that here in Argentina cost less than half of the Edifier.

Best Microlab, clear natural....in my opinion, the edifier, the exaggerated bass cover, opaque all other sounds

So i got them. Kind of mixed feelings. They are unpleasantly boomy in room i want to use them. Better in different room. Somehow i need to fix my acoustics. I'm not any expert audiophile but so far soundwise i prefer my Superlux HD681 EVO headphones. Do you think they need some burn in time? They are not bad tho. Maybe just that booming sound left bad taste.

I have the microlab b77 and I am pleased, it sounds good both bass and voice but it does not cope with the volume over 75%

Microlab has nice upper mids, but sounds like a speaker 3 times smaller and misses room.

The sound dispersion on Mircolab is better, they have wider soundstage, better vocals and midrange. Edifier sounds like it has a veil over them them but does have bigger bass...I'm not sure it's better though.

I bought a B77 BT after seeing this video. now i regretted. B77 can't separates different sounds, so blur, all mixed. go for R1700BT if you are going to pick one from these 2 speaker.

Call me impressed. The Edifiers look good and they sound even better. They look serious, stylish and wooden. Music sounds amazing. Movies special effects are impressive. Edifier makes terrific sounding speakers but this comparison is hardly fair. There's a Microlab rep here in Phnom Penh who has the B77's for $50.

b77 has better separation, imagining. r1700bt has more sub bass and a bit more bass than b77 also edifier sounds warmer meanwhile microlab sounding clean

Edifier Nice bass

People are clearly def. Edifier is not perfect but is better overall. Exaggerated low freq. but better balance from mids to highs and better imaging, also more forgiving an less fatiguing on long run which is important for multimedia speaker.

Both are great speakers. I'd say B77 is good and has more brightness and liveliness. Edifier on the other hand has wider sound stage like listening in an indoor environment.

In Thailand, the price of R1700Bt is double to that of B77BT.

I bought a pair of Microlab B77BT last week, they look very similar to the B77s but I found the specs to be different. But since there's no sound test video for the B77BT so this comment might be interesting to somebody. The bass on B77BT is quite accurate and it has plenty of bass (I had to lower the bass control to 9 o'clock to make mid and treble clearer). The mid is somewhat dry and forward, not transparent. Low-mid is ok but high-mid is lacking and kinda low-res. Treble is not lacking but the twitters are of course nowhere near a hi-end level. Treble is not crystal clear but acceptable, gives you enough details for casual music listening and not harsh at all. After listening to these for a week, I'm very pleased with the sound quality. For the money one cannot get better sound quality. Bluetooth has latency and doesn't work through walls. These speakers are quite loud at max volume but I would keep the volume knob at 60-65% while turning the Bluetooth volume all the way up to get the best sound out of these.

from 4:44 the vocal of B77 is brighter, clearer and richer than R1700BT.

for the price ill go with the microlab b77 all the way. Edifier treble sound too airy.

I think those B77's are too bright and will be difficult to listen to for longer intervals. They seem tuned to emphasize 10Khz+. The RT's, on the other hand, are closer to neutral with a good ability to present vocals over instruments. I prefer that, and the more natural high end.

Что не говори, при всём уважении к эдикам, звук у них как из бочки, брал пару моделей до 10тр и сдал каждую спустя 2 недели обратно в днс, давая шанс прогреться. В итоге в том же днс взял микролаб соло 16 уценку за 8,5тр теперь счастлив)) всем добра! И да эдифире р1100 зачётно лупят за свои 4тр брал ещё р1800 разница есть но на столько минимальная а цена в 2 раза!!!

Microlab are littlw vit mirw tiny, but better mids, bass almost as good, as good treble and only half the price, albeit without Bluetooth.

B77BT: good sound quality, awful implementation of Bluetooth. 2/5, three stars gone because of all the crap bluetooth over which I have no control has put me trough. I have to take these back to shop.

Mikrolab hmmm mają środek w odpowiednim zakresie jednak w kierunku do utraty wyższych tonów, brzmią niby soczyście jednak trochę się w całości na tym tracą... Z selektywności poszczególnych instrumentów. Trochę lepiej w moim subiektywnym uchu brzmi 1700 edifier mimo że w nich czuć lekko cyfrową korekcję dziejów. Odsłuchane na Microlab solo 7 Adnotacja :) Edifier brzmi lepiej na cyfrowych brzmieniach klasyka jednak jak i Black, metal dla Microlab

I have p77bt for some time, and they are not loud enough for me on cable connection. I bought r1700bt today because you all have written it is much better option, best buy. Such a mistake! The sound quality is 2 classes lower, the sound control is junk. You guys are deaf! Good thing is I paid half the price, I will sell them easily. They are more powerful on cable though, but not as much as declared.

MIcrolab b77 is better. high and trebls more open and sharp than edifer. The money paid in Edifer is wasted of money
