😃 Check out my New Tool that makes learning Photoshop Elements Super Easy! Here is my video about it on my HTG Photo channel ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--cJ2AviZNI8.html
I am "Over the Moon" on this video!!!!! I have wished someone would had done a video on the PSE RAW Editor forever!!!! I use this thing all the time and I appreciate the overview! George there are some bits of candy I want to tell you about, that make all the difference for me anyways. The first are the highlight and shadow warnings in the histogram. Just click on those black arrow head up in the top right and left of the histogram and the editor will show you where your whites and blacks are blown out on the picture (Represented in blue for darks and red for light). If you adjust these to show as little clipping (Red and Blue warning) as possible, you are letting more color into the picture. Second candy is workflow hint, start with white balance (1st) and then(2nd) blow your picture up 100 to 200%, this is when you want to use your sharpening, noise and color noise reduction (color cast), this make a HUGE difference on your results, now go back and work the sliders or.......................go with the biggest tip of all, Presets/Luts or whatever you want to call them!!!! Take a look at a picture in the editor, locate where the "Profile" section is, click on those four black squares and the program with take you to a very large set of presets/looks/Luts or whatever you want them to be!!!! This is a big section and there are many categories and beneath the headers are even sub categories!!! What is very cool is you can click on any of these looks and you instantly see what it will look like applied. If you want to change to something else just click on the next choice!!!! Lots of times I get very near to where I want to be with these Looks!!! This is similar to the big selling point feature that many other programs on the market are offering and it is here and FREE with this editor. Your jaw will drop once you see this!!! Just confirm the change and it is applied to your photo, if you don't like any, then you can go back to your original!!! Fun, fun for everyone!!!! Give it a look, this Raw editor is quite a tool and works best on RAW files than on JPEGs (More colors in raw, you know all about that) Have fun and thanks again!!!! Rich
Great tips Rich as always. I go into more detail on this editor in a couple of my training courses. Maybe I will do some more videos here on RU-vid going into more detail. Personally I don't use this much since I am mostly using stock photos that are alreay pretty close and are also in the jpg format. Wish I had the time to go out and take photos, just not in the cards at the moment.
Hello, I had a problem in changing the sound of the minecraft game. There is a type of sound that is witch and I have a problem in changing this sound because the word entity is written before the name of witch, please help me??
This was very helpfull, thank you George. I want to print my paintings for an etsy shop POD. They only take JPEG, PNG and SVG files. Will there still be sharpness in the big prints 100 x 100 cm? I am wondering if it looses pixels when the fileformat changes? Hope you can help me out :-) Thank you 🙂
You need to resize the image to the final size you want. First change the resolution, sounds like youi are going from 72ppi to 300ppi, that would account for the 29. So first change the resolution setting then fix the size setting. Make sure both are at the size you want and then save.
HI George , would Elements save my DNG Converter Problem ? I m on Monterey and downloaded the DNG Converter 15.2 but it does not open / does not react . The icon just jumps up and down . How do I make it work ? ( Is it not working because I have no LR or Photoshop or Camera Raw on Monterey ?, Because on Mojave where I still have CS6 , the DNG Converter it is working )
@@HTGGeorge My problem is not how to use DNGs but to make the DNG Converter work in Monterey ( By the way Topaz Gigapixel creates DNG s ) The plan is to convert Raws into DNGs under Monterey with the Dng Converter , and than switch to Mojave where LR works and use the third party app I have in LR . The DNG Converter under Mojave still works , but not with my new camera . And the App I want to use only works within LR , which only works under Mojave . Or did you mean that the DNG Converter only works if Camera Raw is also installed ? That was my question . And if so is installing elements enough ? I believe elements comes with a light version of Camera Raw . Did you meant instead „ format „ , „app „ ? Instead of : "The DNG Converter is an app that only works together with Camera Raw, you will need to have an Adobe program on your computer to make DNG Converter work .“ Is that what you meant . The funny thing is Luminar Neo is dependent on the DNG Converter to find the camera profiles . And that does work .
@@acneubauer Many software companies license the DNG file format from Adobe. The DNG converter works with Big Sur and later, so it should be running fine on Monterey. There was an update late Feb that fixed several bugs, if you downloaded the converter before that you may want to try downloading again. Here is the page helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/using/adobe-dng-converter.html
@@HTGGeorge Thank you , that's the page I downloaded it from . Sometimes it says under operating systems Big Sur or Mojave or Catalina , ( I don t know why ) But it always downloads only the latest version of the DNG Converter and that is 15.2. Older versions are only available from non adobe websites . By now I downloaded it 4 times ( For example I first downloaded it for Mojave , and it said operating system is Mojave or higher , but it was the latest one which is 15.2. and would not even download . Now under Monterey it does download - but then it does not open
