This song is used as an example of the remixing capability of the Audacity program. Simple changes or edits can remake any song into something completely new! This is another OMD Song that the original is blocked in Germany, so German listeners can use the Hola plugin to listen to this version.
This song is unique in that it ramps up in stages quickly, and then just ends. It becomes very difficult for other songs to follow this type of format since there is no musical follow through. To give it follow through, I added sections of the ramping up and reversed them so the song ramps down and ends the way it begins.
Tracks were overlapped and used the Envelope Tool to blend the sections together. Using the Magnifying Tool, zoom in so you can see the wave forms peaks and valleys, and using the Time Shift Tool, line up the sounds with each track so the beats match. In one particular case the beats in this song did not match up so then its just adjust you your ears liking.
