Recently, a incident occurred in RG Kar Hospital on August 9 with on duty doctor was a brutal rape and murder. The government of West Bengal calls for minimising the night duty for women. But this is not a solution to stop crime against women but instead of this, government have to punished them who attempt this type of crimes with women and ensure the safety at women's workplace by implementing CCTVs, making separate washrooms & special mobile apps for the time whenever any woman will be feeling unsafe, as the government suo motu instructed. Instead of minimising women's independency, but the government should takes a strict action against criminals.

Hello maam, I am beginner... In today's editorial we read about the approach of government on RG Kar Medical Collegeb incident. An on duty lady doctor was raped and killed inside the hospital on August 9. It was very heinous crime. Criminal should be punished as soon as possible despite of reducing working hours of women. For this government issued new guidelines in which, government talked about reducing working hours. When this case highlight too much, Supremecourt of India looked into and ordered to formed a national task force fir solving this case as soon as possible. In 2012 Delhi's case when four men were sentenced death then justice Bhanumathi said if we wanted to reduce violence against women then we should create awareness and think positive. Reducing working hours will only reduce number of women from working area it will not stop violence against women. Thankyou maam because of you I got courage to write this.... ❤❤❤❤

On the rape case of an on duty woman doctor at R.G. Kar Hospital in Kolkata, the government of West Bengal introduced some guidelines. The first one is to avoiding the night duty for women but this may impact on the women financial independence and also a risk of losing their jobs. The second one is , they introduced the programme called 'Rattirer Shatthi' in which they called for separate room and toilets for women and a special mobile phone app. The NCRB annual report shows that 4.45 lakh cases of crime against women were registered and this shows it is the wakeup call for our government and society.

On 9 of august a tradegy happened in West Bengal's RG Kar Hospital that destroyed the humanity. However this is not the first time we are hearing such case, as we remember the Nirbhaya case 2012 and in these 12 years no such improvement is seen and all protocols are just on papers. But this time the victim is a female trainee doctor was working in RG kar hospital brutally sexually assaulted and murdered in hospital premises during night. After that investigation was made and police was also alleged for not working properly and protests were seen, then the high court of Bengal handed over the case to CBI. As mentioned by the Supreme court in 2017 that only punishment is not sufficient but more actions are also required such as conducting awareness programs for gender equality, protocols should be followed that are made for women safety that are already delayed. I hope the justice will be served and my deep condolence is with the victim's family and with the pure soul❤ Govt should make strict laws in future and so no such case will happen again🙏🏻🙏🏻. Not only the boys Girls are also the future of our country. No matter how much we are delevloped , matter is what we have achieved as a human being. Thanku❤

We have seen the recent case of kolkota's R G Kar hospital on duty doctor was brutally killed . In the article, writer wants to show the reality to us . He also says that government should open their eyes and work on safety of women rather than restricting their working hours which will affect women's working and financial independence . According to the passage, supreme court has been looking into the safety of doctors and also other medical workers by alloting the special force . After the 2012 delhi case govt has mandated the strict rules and punishment . But this is not enough ,because last year there were 25.2 % of cases had registered which means 51 FIRs has been filed in an hour ,the government must arrange the cctv's at the workplace and develop special mobile app for women safety .They must ensure that the culprits should be punished . Thank you ma'am 7/8 was my score

Namaste mam🙏🏻 Mam ek request tha aapse, aap please apne questions me ek question add kijiye about the "tone of the passage". And explain us how to determine what's the tone of a passage. •The West Bengal government's decision to restrict women's night duty in response to a doctor's murder in Kolkata is insufficient solution to ensure workplace safety. This move may result in women losing jobs and financial independence, further excluding them out of the workforce. It is essential to priortize safety measures for female professionals in all sectors. Initiatives like 'Rattirer Shaathi' and the Supreme Court's national task force for medical professionals serves a positive step towards gender violence. Strengthening laws, punishments, and societal mindsets are essential to achieve gender justice and prevent violence against women. Women-led safety campaigns play a vital role in encouraging government and society to priortize women's well-being.

The nation again becomes an evident of an horrible incident occurred recently in RG Kar Medical College of Kolkata on 9 August which questioning the independence of women in their workplace. Is our country really progressing to make itself developed where nobody takes the accountability of safety of women instead they talking about minimising the night shifts for women. Is this really equality given by our constitution? The campaigns led by women is wake up calls for not only state government but also for union government to make sure that the protocols and stringent laws made in 2012 Delhi rape case should be implemented. Despite minimising night duties government and society come together and ensure that women also freely participated in country's workforce for progressive growth of the nation. I agree with you, but I have some concerns regarding the preferences of some girls. In my observation, many girls tend to be drawn to boys who exhibit a 'bad boy' image or have a questionable character, rather than those who are genuine and kind-hearted. This is troubling, as it can lead to harmful relationships. I recall an incident from my 9th-grade year where a girl slapped me without provocation. Later, when she realized her mistake, she didn't apologize. Ironically, her boyfriend physically assaulted her a month later due to his infidelity, which she was aware of but tolerated because of his wealth. This experience makes me wonder: are boys always at fault? Or do girls also share some responsibility in perpetuating harmful dynamics?" Let me know if you'd like any further adjustments

for the first time i tried mam.. Timing is not the cause behind all these incidents which are taking place in our society .Night duty or day duty cannot ensure the safety of women at workplace or anywhere in the society . minimizing of night duty for women is not a commendable step taken by the govt. as this step promotes gender inequality at work place or it will reduce the employment opportunities of women . it encourages the cheap mentality of people who think a women cannot go outside at night and should not be allowed to do job . it is considered as a regressive step for the society it shows government failure against women safety .government is fail to provide safe workplace or environment for women .instead of this step of minimising night duty govt should take strict actions or implement strict laws , punishment to the people who had done this heinous crime. thank you mam .....

Descriptive - 21 August 2024 As we all know about the current situation of women in our country is in a very fragile state. Kolkata doctor case adds up in this never ending story of discrimination against women. NCRB annual report shows that around 4.45 lakh cases registered in 2022 only, 51 FIRs every hour. Unfortunately our government’s way to dealing with this case is not so satisfying, one of the many announcements, is this that we should reduce night shifts for women. That sounds so annoying to us that although the urban women participation in the current workforce is around 25%, and these things will reduce it a bit more. Govt should act on making the laws strong so that every women can go out safely in our country, not to chain her so that she can’t go out and we can put a curtain over this problem. We have to be aware about these issues and govt. should educate the society. At the end there’s a lot to be done by us and by the govt itself. ❤ thanks mam for your efforts, helping a lot

Keeping in mind, the recent incidence happened in R. G. Kar Hospital of West Bengal, the government of West Bengal demanded to minimise the working hours of women to ensure their safety. But the question is, is it enough to curb the situation, and ensure women safety? May be not. This action not only lead to women losing their jobs but also put their financial independence in danger. Highly stringent actions should be taken against the culprit so that nobody dares to commit the sin and an awareness should be created on gender justice and equality. As changing mindset of the society could lead to better future. Thank you Ma'am 🙏

Score- 7/8 .. thank u so much ma'am ❤ Today's Descriptive ~ Safety of Women in India has become a major issue in India now. The crime rates against women in the country have only risen to a great extent. Women think twice before stepping out of their homes, especially at the night. This is, unfortunately, the sad reality of our country that lives in constant fear. In 9th August a brutal rape and murder was happened in RG Kar Medical college and Hospital, in West Bengal, which again arise questioned against women safety. Considering this case, WB government published a guidelines regarding women safety by reducing working hour in night of women. This methods leads to the their losing job and financial independence. Guidelines also talked about the separate restroom, toilets, Cctv and govt launched a program RATTIRER SAATHI.Really,is the solution? In my opinion is nothing but the cliche. Every case come to an end by this type of typical guidelines. Every citizen of India needs a permanent solution of rape which not just on paper. Kolkata rape case again a wake up call for government and society also.

West Bengal government suggested to minimize working hours for women after the dreadful incident at RG Kar Hospital. According to the latest report of NCRB, 4.45 lakh cases of crimes against women were registered in 2022 and goverment is still ignorant. Strigent laws were made after 2012 delhi case but there is lack of proper implementation of these laws. We need to bring change in society's viewpoint on gender justice. The decision made by West Bengal government is totally absurd. Government should take it as a wake-up call and should work on providing safety for women at there workplaces.

According to my opinion to abbreviate night duty or to reduce working hours for womens is not a solution of womens safty it was just a restrictions on womens independence,it also increase the chances of losing jobs and leads to financial independence , as per the NCRB report of 2022 about 4.45 lakh cases registered which is equal to 50 Fir per hour and it is very egregious for all womens , now it is very important to implementation of laws and change the way of thinking of society so that it is not affected to womens independence and also provides safty for the womens in a progressive way ❤😊

The terrible incident which happened in Kolkata on august 9 left us dumstruck .After this incident WB govt announces to minimise the work time for women in night but the question is,is it a right step to stop rape incidents? the answer is no cause women are not safe in day as well and there have so many cases which we can take as an example and this step which have taken by WB govt can be a reason for loosing jobs to many women so the first step which govt should take is to secure safety at the workplace of a woman and try to change the mindset of these ill people through various projects

The recent rape case of a lady doctor in Kolkata has left a deep impact on citizens. It has also alarmed the government to ensure women's safety at high priority. According to recent guildelines by the government, women's night duty should be minimised. This seems to be very regressive approach to curb the violence. It will not only effect the women's freedom but also raise a question mark on India's gender equality norms and Democratic profile.

The heinous crime in R.G kar medical College is heartwrenching but minimising the night duty doesn't ensure the safety of women rather the government has to give strict punishment to those who commit the crime against women and take necessary measures for the safety of women. They should implement harsh laws in the country instead of reducing night duty of women. As a citizen of this country it is our responsibility to aware people about this because it's 2024 and nothing has changed so far. The situation is still same in the country like back in 2012 we really didn't do anything for women. Being 50% of the population and still doesn't get freedom and independence to work we are really moving backward with time. 💔

West Bengal Govt. has issued new guidelines for the medical workers after the rape and brutal murder of a 31 year old trainee doctor in R.G.kar Medical college in Kolkata. One of the guidelines calls for minimizing night duty for women. The another guideline Rattirer Saathi calls for separate rest rooms and toilets for women, installation of Cctvs and a special mobile app. But reducing the duty hours for women cannot give assurance of women safety. If stringent laws are enough to stop this type of crime then it would have stop after the Delhi rape case of 2012. Instead preventive measures must be taken and awareness regarding gender equality must be brought in the mindsets of the people in order to stop this kind of abysmal activities.

Kolkata's rape case is one of the numbers which are officially or unofficially held in our country. The government should take steps to punish the culprit not to stop the victim from living their lives. Reducing working hour is not the solution as being a liberal country it is our right to work equal hours and earn equally as men do. Our law system needs to be credible to us so that whether a man or woman can enjoy their freedom equally.

The increasing of rape cases in our country is very horriable. It shows that our country is not so safe for women. On August 9 we get to know about Kolkata rape case. A lady doctor of R K hospital being raped and killed by a worker of that hospital in her working hours. On that day she was in her night shift. And this is shocking that state government of west bangle is not doing proper investigation and not taking sufficient action. They have decided to minimise the duration of night duty for women. Is this enough?? That will not be sufficient for us. We want a safe environment for women not a restrictions for us. That can cause a decline in women financial condition. Atleast after this horriable case gov of India should open their eyes and take a big step to stop this. We as women are not feeling safe in our country.

Taking this kind of decision govt will not ensure securities of women ,rather it will lead to women losing jobs and financial freedom.Instead of minimising night duty , govt should increase securities and punish accused people ,So that nobody could even think about attempting this kind of crime. In response kolkata government issued guidelines which states that night dusty of women should be avoided and an app named as Ratri Sathi also launched. In guidelines government assured the separte restroom for women and safe zones with ccctv cameras . These measures are good but not enough to ensure the safety of women . The Regressive move of Government towards the safety of women- Reduce the working hours. Is the safety solution? By considering the Kolkata R.G. kar medical college rape case, every workplace should have separate restrooms, toilets, and a special mobile app these measures are included in the "RATTIRER SAATHI" program launched by the government. These methods are platitudes and not the permanent solution, reducing working hours for women only leads to losing their jobs and financial independence. There should be stringent punishment for the culprits. Protocols can not be just on paper rather than should be in action said by D.Y. Chandrachud.
