Scrolling through RU-vid suggestions hoping to find something fresh in the mix and found his hiding between political news stories. The thumbnail stood out and grabbed my attention. The content was just what I was hoping to find. Looking forward to seeing what you've already created, and what's yet to come. I'm sure you already know but I'll say it anyway, don't shy away from the used lens market. I'm just beginning in my photography journey but the majority of what I've built up so far is pre-owned. Your work is inspiring, thank you for sharing!

Thank you for your kind words. It’s scary to put yourself and your work out there, but comments like this make it worth it. I have some new gear being used in the next one so keep an eye out 😉🎉🥰 and good luck on your own photography journey x

Wonderful shoot - thanks for sharing! Love the color palette throughout. Since you always shoot fairly wide open (1.8 on 55mm lens) to throw the foreground/background out of focus, if you used a longer lens (ex: 70-200mm @ 2.8) would it enhance the isolation of your subject within the background? Just a thought

Thank you! Yes compression from a longer lens would likely add more subject isolation. I use a 35mm because it’s the most versatile prime lens IMO and I like to show location. You can see more of the effect you mention in my shots with my 85mm. Would love to invest in something like a 70-200 one day though.

@@tursala I think you do wonderful work! England appears to have an endless bounty of beautiful backdrops for portraiture and lanscape imagery. Keep showing us your creativity!
