This band caught my attention immediately, perhaps I was struck by Tom's voice but there's something else that made me turn addicted to this creative and mature. I realized that blending rock with electronic music is an art a few people only can afford and Editors are right one of those who highlighted this concept! That's not electronic music, it's a kind of rock and post-progressive, it embraces more genres and it features the abilities of a dynamic band as if you could drop a list of songs prefectly mixed and amassed in a specific way. You can feel the energy and the adrenaline stepping up, an album is meant to bring you towards its natural end without bothering you! It is a friend for a trip and you don't care if it is too long: when the tunes are catchy, the pitch seems flawless and all doubts are taken off you can concretely state that you appreciate that band and you feel cheered up by their music! In this way it all becomes understandable, you figure out what the band wants to convey and which messages the record gives off in its entirety, automatically.
There is this interview of Johnny Ramone in which he says he never wore earplugs because that would be cheating... and he was a little deaf because of it
I think that Editors lose a lit of energy in him performance; for example in Glastonbury this song is amazing with a incredible force in his voice and the way to play.
