Electronic music is built on collaboration, so it has become common for artists to join forces as a supergroup. Some great examples of this are Excision, Downlink, and KJ Sawka's group "Destroid" or GRiZ, Gramatik, and Big Gigantic's group "Big Grizmatik". Forming a supergroup is a great way to expose each artist's fan base to new artists, and doing so usually generates hype. But for some reason, EDM supergroups usually don't stick around long term. In this video we will be revisiting four of the most prolific EDM supergroups that haven't been active for years.

When Destroid formed that's when I got into Dubstep big time. I remember listening to this and was like GOD DAMN. Please keep this up!

Ethan Davis posted a video talking about that (he was 1/2 of Candyland) if you want to check that out, it's called "Why I quit DJing when I was at the top..." I'm not sure if I would be able to add anything beyond what he talks about in that video (I'm not very familiar with Candyland honestly, I've just seen that video and vaguely know who they are because Tchami remixed one of their tracks a long time ago)
