I kinda give Cuthbert a pass on this series in particular. He has to play it as down-the-middle as humanly possible in a series such as this, and sometimes that means not having varying goal calls. In a Canadian team/US team, or all-US team matchup, he's shown he can be pretty damn good
and just what was Gadreau doing on that goal? I am still baffled. watch him #13 at 11:08 he is skating towards Draisaital who has the puck at the boards, all Gadreau has to do is hit/check/impede...do something. Instead he turns away from the play and heads towards the blue line.
@@Thynqikan that’s his defence, he doesn’t check doesn’t go into the corners he just sits on the blue line waiting for a pass. This may be the worst defensive play I’ve ever seen
@@dadamager3000 I remember you saying "The Gaudreau /Tkachuck line are the best line in hockey" when they were already halfway out the door, on the first train out of Cowtown...Bwhahahahahaha!!!!!!!.....Oh, it would seem at least a couple of things have changed....eh.....hahaha...
I can watch this over and over again 😀. Best playoff series in many years and hope for more in the coming years. Edmonton will be amazing this year with soup and skinner in net
@@tathya.s not really cause unlike yourself and your team they disappoint keep telling yourself that when your team was poised to face tampa for the cup in most mockup brackets ur just mad edmonton sent your team into a rebuild and now just like your life the flames are boring and LOSERS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣try again
It was the second quick goal in game one when all the flames fans collectively put the jinx on their own team screamin all over social media that the oilers were done .. proves the knowledge of playoff hockey and the lack thereof to set the hockey gods in motion to humble them 😏😏
As a flames fan I feel like we could sweep the oilers but I respect the oilers good clean win 🏆 no offence it’s kinda funny who Edmonton beat Calgary just to get beat to death by Colorado
Wym ? Edmonton got swept but all 4 games were relatively close. No doubt Colorado was a more complete team. But beat to death isn’t how I would word it
@@B.Launders Actually no....He was exactly how he was all year vs Edmonton. The Regular season series was 2--2...Markstrom played every minute. The goals For Edmonton were 5, 5, 1,and 5 respectively. The 1 goal game had the Oilers without 7 starters in their line up. In other words, when healthy the Oiler's averaged 5 goals a game vs "Marky"....What happened in the 5 games of the playoffs? 6,5,4,5,...5?....The "superior defence, superior depth superior coach, superior goaltending" Pacific Division Champs average 5.00 G.A.A vs the Oilers over 9 games. Markstrom played as well as he could, or at least how he always does vs Edmonton.
@@Thynqikan Yes. If the flames fans had not told us all year how "superior there defence, depth and goaltending" was....only to have all 3 fail against the Oilers....But it is beyond just the usual rivalry smack talking. Those are the real stat's. The flames give up about 5.G.A.A vs the Oilers. That is kind of surprising, but it has been that way for at least the last 9 games. With "Marky" in net and Sutter behind the bench. Yet all I hear is, "yeah they just played bad....?"
@@algrundau9441 Yup. Everyone and their dog was ball hugging the Flames, and choosing them as their WC champs, and even Cup champs. Then the Oilers spank them, and it's all, 'omgflamesarebad, so the oilers aren't good!" It's so transparent it hurts.
Cry... my manns got past the first round 💀. For the first time in his career he made it further than he would have with the Toronto Maple laughs. Then he continued to destroy you guys, he had more goals than Johnny Hockey that series🤣🤣🤣. He wasnt crying against the avs, your team lost 4-1, now that is something for you to cry about Lames fan🤣. Losing Johnny Hockey and Turtlechuk within a month is absolutely disabling for the Lames organization. Bet you cried when that happened as well🤣
