From a baby to a small child, I use to live on the east side, Hooper, and Nadeau to be exact, from 1973 to 1981. I remember walking to Roosevelt Park, and attending Parmalee Elementary. In 1981 we moved to the west side 67th and Brynhurst Ave. Los Angeles, definitely has a history the things we had to go through growing up, running from your own kind because of having on the wrong color. Many of the people who lived in Los Angeles, were originally from the racist south. California was the Gold rush! Then gang banging was born. It was something to see in those days, late 70's early 80's dudes use to be mobbin, up the block cut off kakis, long tube stipe sox, chuck taylors, afros with cake cutters. There was a lot of talented, athletic young guys gang banging. Wish it never existed, a lot of fatherless kids, and those who had no big brother's got involved in gang banging, and some just did it cause they wanted to be like the ones that were good at it.
k effinger Damn man, I live in 53rd street, fortunately, times have changed. I can walk down Central and 54th (which is disputed by many gangs both mexican and black *KDP,ESPBS,SSP,55THB,BSV,A.F.CB,AGC,ect*) with a red or blue shirt without getting dirty looks or being banged on or the worst case scenario, getting stabbed or shot at. Glad to hear a life story about someone from Hooper.
***** This guy is not an OG or real "nigga" as you would say, but just another loser black man who pissed away his life & squandered opportunities to actually becoming something & accomplishing something. All other cultures across the earth would see him as a loser.Only in black american subculture is he seen as a "somebody".
wow a lot of the older bangers n these videos have incredible vocabularies... well a lot of the bangers but I realise it from the older ones usually damn....
+Freydro Stacks I remember hearing him say that but I never knew he was referring to batman. I wish it who was a way that they could put together a documentary or something to let us know what are the surviving members going from those banging on wax albums
Hey streetgangs think yall can do a interview with some Hispanics that are in blood gangs? Like taco from Inglewood nhp or others around la or compton, I think it would b interesting
Daaamn man, he explained that so well;he & his friends started understanding what it was to be a gang member. ..AT 9 & 10yrs old...childhood taken!! Most People don't understand that man,I know everybody from the ghetto didn't gangbang but,if all your friends live where you live,y all become family, & if somebody hurts yo family, you wanna hurt those that hurt em,hence, the making of a new member from that gang!!! Sad man,but it's reality, and was definitely mine coming up in the Rollin 60's
Out here in Phoenix AZ we got a blood set called Insane Vista Blood gang that was originated from Mad Swan Bloods and they’re still active til this day
I grew up on 76pl and McKinley J.Kapone 79st S.GanG, I just heard about Blood but never saw him, but being surrounded from the kcg's 76ec 73's when they wasn't claiming crip, we stayed mashing and mobbin from Fremont swimming pool, to chillin at McKinley elementry 77-79-80-84 MSBG we did our thang as the S gang!
I've watched a few of the Streetgang Videos..this is the best..For someone who is not from California but visited family as a child..it helped me understand....in my opinion..if you are not from California..you don't understand it.
Not a banger and never have been...but I don't think people realize that there was a time when it wasn't 'cool' to be a Blood, they were outnumbered by a wide margin. I bring this up because of all these out of town rappers (Birdman etc) who pretend to be Bloods but never put in any work or been outnumbered by enemies and still had to represent. This OG is speaking on that time and letting people know how many fewer Bs than Cs there used to be.
I honestly did not know much about gangs besides their music, and these videos are just fascinating to me. The effects of environment and pressures to resort to violence are things many don't understand. Its not a race thing, it's a human thing. These dudes literally grew up in a war-zone, and thanks Alonso for bringing to light these perspectives that would have otherwise gone noticed.
In the late 70"s i was in cya with a couple of swans all them guys were down for murder, when we had riots with the blacks & went to the hole afterwards i remember they all mostly piru s swans bounty hunters i dont think they even called themselves bloods yet but i gotta say yea they werent fuckin around!!
I like to hear these stories but dang but the justice system don’t play at all with black folks . He said he was given 26 years at 16 years old. That’s crazy man. He was a kid and didn’t get out till he was a middle age man Crazy
The penitentiary has saved a lot of lives cause if some of these brotha's hadn't got locked up they may have potentially been murdered on the streets. Props on the interview keep em coming.
I notice he said moon I wonder if that's the same idiot from dead homies who kept driving the stolen car & told on everybody BTW Alonso what happened to them dudes
Have you ever done interviews with so.e down so III the bloods and crips and What about the east coast because it's slot of ogs everywhere now that have a story but at the end of the day love the work and keep it up
@@johnwilliams8768 dats cap it’s black & Mexican west of central & they recruit Mexicans they still have a young generation right now so how tf they gone be extinct in 5 yrs look @ da outlaw20s and 30sbsp they hood 85% mex and they still supa active wit it & swans is 5 times bigger & active than both them so what u talkin bout

I was about to salute but he gotta speak on that rape charge. Couldve been some bullshit cuz we all know some of these women are at the bottom of the pit when it comes to morals and honesty... but if he really did that then he gotta speak on it.
Jersey Mac You want him to speak on something that happened in 1984? It's not like he is applying for a job and running for office, whatever it was, 31 years ago is a long time.
this is called strretgangs but only got cali gangs lol should just name it la streetgangs cause thats all this channel gots what i guess they scared about doin gangs from other states and cities
