@@jaylenyoung2632 Sure was. The Big Fitz was built in 1958, and her sister ship thr Arther B. Homer was built in 1960. The Arther B. Homer was on Lake Erie in 1986 when she recieved word to sail her to the scrapyard.
The reason why the Edmond Fitzgerald sank was because she was overloaded, the captain figured the bigger the payload the bigger the payday. If you listen to the song it tells you straight out that the captain was to blame. He cost not only his crew their lives but his own life aswell.
All as I can say is it was a tragedy but you couldn't get me out on those Great lakes for nothing in November you don't mess around with those legs in November
