Jeff definitely won,but u can’t say both lines wasn’t clean at the end of the day both of these lines are very talented, keep in mind this is a ten round battle so that just go to show the skill they got😂
Hats off to BOTH sections from a JSU Boom alum.........very very impressive.....being from tha N.O (old school Kennedy alum)....keep building Jeff, extremely impressed by yall....
There are no win or lose in this contest both schools put on a Damn good show case. Put them together and you have a killer section. Great job to both drum instructor and kids. Great look for the N.O.
COLLEGIATE LINES pay attention !!! This is how you battle without playing over each other ruining it for everyone who wants to hear what each line brought. Good job to both programs, and keep up the good work.
LETS GOOOOO BUCS! C/O 96 I'm so damn proud! I remember when my lil kuzzin Lance was the drum major played the snare n the trombone all at the same time marching in NOMTOC! WONT HE DO IT!
What I love from Jeff is cymbal grooves and how everything is well blended together and have dynamics like that cadences are very well built visually and composition ease on the ears this battle was a great battle between lines I love how it was Cadence vs cadence NO SOLOS everybody knew their parts I wish more battles were like this
17thwdboy yeah I noticed that too, i guess the style changed due to colleges starting to play with that type of style or something to that degree. But I kinda see it as thing though, kids are watching colleges and picking up their form.
What riddels me is why they never bother to tune the drums... Not a single of the drums sound good... Can anyone explain to me why? Drom corps can make the same kind of drums sound amazing but for some reason they always sound like crap in these bands... especially the bass drums.
Niels Emil Naumann because these bands have that swac aggressive sound and they need the extra power to project. DCI bands and meac bands are more dynamically based so the the drums don’t need to be tuned low and loose.
If drums weren’t supposed to sound like this they wouldn’t be able to, every one has their style preference and just because yours is meac/dci doesn’t make this style of tuning sound like “crap”.
West Jeff approach and Material won this battle Karr is a long way from terrible them folks well respected it’s just time to get back in the lab and update what’s going on . I remember when these two schools weren’t mentioned in top tier drum section talk now look they in the same conversations with Whitehaven Callaway Pine Bluff etc give both props and keep it moving . I’m from Texas and our approach completely different but based on what I see these bois pushing the envelope point blank Great Job to juicy and his bois and West Jeff fasho mane.
