For the records, like Peter Obi, Akpata will come out 3rd position, Edo 2024 election is still between APC and PDP. Secondly, APC will win Edo North, Edo Central will be keenly contested and I see APC having a marginal lead. Edo south will determine the eventual winner especially Oredo, Ikpoba Okha and Egor LGAs.

Come to Edo state and and take sample questions/survey on the region whom the people think should produce the next governor. Sensible analysis but it depends on if Akpata play his game well, he will win it. What he need to do is to form alliance with oshiomole and idahosa, offer deputy governor slot to oshiomole to present. He shouldn't think of picking deputy from Edo central since Edo central will not leave the governorship they long clamor for and vote for deputy slot, that will amount to a waist of slot. Deputy coming from Edo north especially through oshiomole, with Denis Idahosa back up in Ovia constituency will be major break through. Anything short of this will require miracle for him to win since Edo south which is his constituency are not tribal voters nor they are hungry for power for now. He needs the angry powerful people from the bigger parties to carry him through. And again not many now what easily sway Edo south voters, I will unlock the secret here. So LP couldn’t find a credible candidate with capacity and all from Edo Central to give the ticket? I’m Obidient to the core and many of us shared this sentiment somehow with Obi. Why slightly change the goal post now? Same thing we blamed Atiku for. I also want you guys to know that the Obidient movement is not and has nothing to do LP. A party is just a vehicle. Many Edolites like me a Benin man share that sentiment that the seat should go to the Esan now. And it cut across parties. Trust me, this will haunt LP in this election in my opinion.

A little research will show that Obi was not the only South Easterner in the election. The Obidient movement was not about a South Easterner. It was about a man the people trusted.
