@@iam-retarded-but O Malley is nowhere near the kicking skill of these guys. Overall a striking phenom but he is not seeing Wonderboy, Barboza or even Yair Rodriguez Kicking. Cory Sandhagen is a better kicker in the same weight class. Giza Chikadze is right there as well. Adesanya and Paul Felder deserve some love too. O Malley would make my top 10 kickers in the UFC no question though, so I'm not knocking him
Barboza has a high threshold for pain. Rockhold couldn't even kick again after his shin was split open. Barboza is like Im painting your leg with my blood.
I thought the same thing as Chael. I would love to see Ngannou punch one of those force measurement pads and then see Barboza kick it. Pound for pound, Barboza has to be generating some of the most force in MMA with his kicks. And the scary thing now is that he's dialed himself into a hot zone and he's refined his boxing so that the old strategy of just bully-pressuring to nullify his kicks doesn't work nearly as well to stop him from getting off offense. He is one scary dude right now and I fully believe he will become FW champ within 12 months.
Regardless of judges screwing him over there’s no one you can count on more to deliver violence than Barboza, he’s one of the most brilliant strikers I’ve ever seen and it’s always an honour to watch him fight
Isn't it weird Tony outstuck Edson and now has declined to where he is? Crazy how much can happen in a year. Same goes for guys like Woodley and all your favrioute fighters
I'm a martial art and anime nerd. That's why I started training and watch mma(the first match I was was between Newton vs Hughes). Boy! As soon as I saw burgos back up, I mind just went like "this fight just went into anime territory!" I swear that delayed reaction has a higher anime reference than Cerone's arcade combo over Story.

That was fight of the year. Just a great performance on both ends. It'll be fun to see how long Edson can take this run at 145 I really think he can do damage in the top 10.
I'm glad they both got the fat bonus. Edson's kicks and adjustments and Burgos with the flashy combination receipts on a chewed up a leg made us stand and clap in the living room.

Im a huge fan of barboza, since his first fight vs paul felder i knew he is a strong fighter, seeing how fighters like paul and ige stole those wins from him made me furious, and now seeing that he finally get the recolonization he deserves makes me very happy.
Barbosa definitely made strides in his boxing and conditioning. Which is crazy this late into his career. Nothing but respect and admiration for that guy. I'm greatfull to have been able watch his entire ufc career play out

Anyone else in disbelief with how many leg kicks Burgos ate? I mean, Barbosa kicks REALLY HARD. Its what he is known for. I couldn’t believe Burgos wasn’t on the ground crying. I guess thats why I’m a fan, not a fighter. Maybe the pain finally hit him after getting punched?
That Shane "TKO" scared the shit out of me when it happened because it was SO delayed and if you watched his eyes you could see the fear/confusion. I thought something serious happened in his brain, I have traumatic brain injury so I know A LOT about the brain and his brain didn't shut off it just quit working so I was very scared for him. I always love watching Edson though so it was a great fight and I'm amazed by how well Shane took those kicks!
Jokes aside, Barbosa is TOUGH at 145. Hell, he was a stud at 155, having that extra bit of size at 145 makes him extremely dangerous. I don’t see him able to beat a Max or Volk, however his kicks are scarrrryyyy lol.
Same thing with Conor, his power at 145 was scary, but doesn't effect 155'ers the same way. Edson was scary at 155, but at 145 I'd also argue he's a different animal!
Give Davison figgy more credit for being scary. He's the only fighter I've ever seen try to pry a cut open with his fingers. He did it to Joey benavidez in the second fight after he headbutted joe while he was on top. Then if you watch closely he sticks his fingers in Joe's forehead cut from an elbow and tried prying it open. That's savage. Also I weigh less than I did in highschool. I was 6"3 190 now I'm 6"3 165. Struggling to put weight on

Valentina is near the top of my list for scary fighters, I may have 60/70lbs on her but there is absolutely zero chance I'll be able to read her high kick set ups, first one I take I'll be directly to the amberlamps
Shane got concussed in that first round. He was so rocked. Edson only needed a couple shots in the second to seal that freaky knockout. It was only a matter of time after that first round and the shots Edson landed.
