Ten year old Eduardo Antonio Treviño, from Autumn Creek Elementary in Humble, Texas, won first place in the 28th Annual Mariachi Extravaganza National Vocal Competition - Middle School Category in 2022. Eduardo sang "Lo Mas Profundo de mi Corazon" under the direction of Jose Longoria and Samara Alejandra Martinez highlighting his ability to sing falsetto with an excellent pitch.
Eduardo is accompanied by UTRGV's Mariachi Aztlán from Edinburg, Texas. He was recently featured in Americas Got Talent where he got through the audition phase with a stunning performance.
The Mariachi Extravaganza is produced by San Antonio based MPR (Muñoz Public Relations) whose mission is to utilize the mariachi music platform to promote higher education and cultural preservation among Hispanic youth. A portion of proceeds generated from the Mariachi Extravaganza is awarded in scholarships and grants to vocal competition winners.
