I'm delighted to find an academic giving us rational ways of understanding the irrational. "Thinking like a forest" takes us beyond our individual egos-brains-experiences and into the realms where consciousness exists beyond our usual ways of understanding.

Nice said! Same like people saying psychedelics are just hallucinations everything is breathing (vibrating) ... Then scientists looked at kwantum physics and said (without acid) matter is 99.9% empty space and it's vibrating

Culture/s has/have been here and there from this integrated relationship with the environment over time and place, and it's so hard to get a mature grasp on dynamics, and I get that this is a casual conversation, but I wish this video explained the systematic approach, that I'm sure Eduardo Kohn took for this study. I'm curious about the maturation of method of this kind of science.

Wait what: we are one because we are provoking each other to laugh? Worrisome thinking alert activated! Comment if you who found this logic laughable feel being one with me right now!

We are one is the sense of how we bond with each other in that moment, and see value in enriching each other's lives much in the same way as we would want to enrich ours. A stranger becomes a friend who we care about and start seeing as a part of who we are in that moment
