You aren’t just creating a puzzle masterpiece, you are creating memories with your friends and family. You are so very blessed! My husband and I are wondering what are your plans for the puzzle after completion?
@puzzlemethis.
@puzzlemethis. 2 месяца назад
@tonyahyche9333 Hi and yes, spending time with family and friends is the best. We'll leave the puzzle on the table for a while and then I'll take it apart in sections and keep it in the box or a tub, that way I can put it together again if I want to or it can be taken all apart if someone wants to do it all again. john

I can see a difference in the past 30 days. Looking good but the guy with the "generic pieces left" comment had a point. I'll bet your next project is painting abstract art ! Anything can go anywhere !

I so wanted to have a look at the Sydney Operahouse with that white cardboard 😅 You've made great progress again! But it makes me a bit sad that the journey is coming to an end. Your videos became a monthly staple. Anyway, good job everyone, keep on the good work. 🙂

@jlu3ai Hi again, Thanks for reminding me about the Sydney Opera House. Yesterday I put some white pieces in the Museum of Contemporary Art building and didn't think about checking the Sidney Opera House. What I find so fascinating about this is that, from what I understand, you were a one-week-a-year puzzler before taking on one the largest puzzles in the world!Any other projects you’ve done that you’ve jumped in with both feet rather than worked up to? It seems like sort of an extremist personality trait is present here, which I can kind of relate to as I enjoy a long project now and then, but not to this level. You’ve done remarkably well and I’ve loved every month’s update!
@puzzlemethis.

@NatalieinIdaho Hi again, I was telling Mom and Dad that I didn't really have anything much to say for next weeks video and a few people have asked about how I ended up with a big puzzle and I said to them that I might tell the story but didn't know if enough people cared, and then tonight I read your comment. You must have been reading my mind!!! I'll tell the story in next months video. Yes, it seems like my family has always done things to the extreme, and when someone decides to do something the family all joins in (like working on the puzzle). When I was14 years old my Grandfather thought hang-gliding would be fun, so him, a couple Uncles, and Dad and I did that for a while. Dad and I built street rods for a while. My wife and I have ridden motorcycle from Pennsylvania to Alaska and back (took 3 weeks) and made a big circle of the united states (we have ridden motorcycle in 49 states, all but Hawaii).We did the Saddlesore Iron Butt Ride (1,000 miles in less than 24 hours) with dad a few years ago, and I would love to try the Iron Butt Coast to Coast ride sometime (coast to coast in less than 50 hours). Yes, now that I think about it, I probably should get professional help,😁 Thanks for watching and being a part of this, john

Depending on the camera angle one thinks that you will be finished in only a few days (in the overview shots the puzzle looks almost complete) or it will be still a tedious job for many months. Your estimate of 6000 pieces left feels plausible - 3 to 5 more months perhaps. Don`t stress yourself with piece counting (piece per day statistics), especially if you do it mainly for us viewers. Enjoy the progress and enjoy each single placed piece!
@puzzlemethis.
@puzzlemethis. 3 месяца назад
@LogicMasterSteve Hi again, yes, we don't usually keep track of pieces but sometimes when we get a lot together in a day we wonder how many we got. Looking down across the puzzle, it does look really filled in, but there are a lot of white spots yet but they are getting smaller. I am thinking maybe 4 months yet, but I'll probably be wrong, john

I am wondering at this point if you mostly a) look at an empty spot and try to find the piece(s) from the many cardboards or b) look at some piece(s), for example of a particular color, and try to find where they go I remember from my largest puzzle that I repeatedly spent an hour or so grabbing pieces which rang a bell and tried to place them. If you stare enough hours at a puzzle, you start to see things - and are right about 50% of the time :'D. It felt a bit disorganized but it kind of worked.
@puzzlemethis.
@puzzlemethis. 3 месяца назад
@nilsp9426 H again, Shawna does choice A. she looks for an empty space and then finds the pieces. That doesn't work for me. I have to look through the cardboards for pieces I think I recognize and then walk around the puzzle trying to place them. I also have spent a long time looking at a cardboard and after a while I start to see details that I hadn't noticed before, and you are right, I can find maybe 50% of them, john

It's great to see chairs and ermpty space along the sides of the room instead of stacks of cardboard full of puzzle pieces. I sure will miss these videos when you are finished! Texture will probably become very important when you get to the green. Can't wait to see next month's update. Vacation and "fun time" may inhibit your progress somewhat... didn't you take a bike trip last year?
@puzzlemethis.
@puzzlemethis. 3 месяца назад
@tinag4262 Hi again, yes, I too like seeing the carboards getting cleaned up around the room. I'm not sure what to think about all the green pieces. Mom thinks color/texture, but I'm thinking that sorting them by shape would help. We'll probably do it by color/texture first and then the pieces we can't find we'll have to sort by shape. Yes, I took a motorcycle trip last summer out to Yellowstone National Park and saw a little of the Rockies. Later this month I'll be going to the beach for a week, so I need to work extra on the puzzle to make up for the lost time.😅 john

There are some puzzles that would be fun to do, like the 24,000 Life puzzle and the 32,000 Window on New York puzzle. Also there should be some new big puzzles coming out soon. So we'll take a little break and then see what we think.
