Not really. I mean with the exception of a couple of clever jokes, it really wasn't as entertaining as cartoons like "Day at the Zoo" or really most of the Looney Tunes stuff. And as far as modern cartoons, we have shows like Steven Universe, Regular Show, and Gravity Falls. All of which are entertaining by their own right. Though one large criticism I have for this cartoon is that it's hard to understand the words half the time.

The difference is these old cartoons were shorts less than 10 minutes. They weren't based on entire cartoon universe with the same characters living day to day.

Despite "A Day At The Zoo" being more entertaining than this, this is still gold compared to todays cartoons

Classic Fleischer - This is because they would record the sound after the animation at the Fleischer Studios. They started in the silent era, so it was how they were used to working. When Disney made the first sound cartoon, he essentially recorded everything first so they could animate to it. This sort of gives Fleischer cartoons a certain charm. Half of the Popeye cartoons' humor came from the fact that they weren't really moving their mouth when they "mumbled".
