I love my teacher Victoria because she dealt with a very disrespectful girl who during the a minute silence in November 11th messing around and Victoria also helped me calm down on the day as well as my best friends Sinead and Carys
No, it’s bad on the school systems part. They don’t know how to support students especially in the United States. That’s why we have so many incidents.
Not at all. I wish I had their teachers too. Mine always used to bring me down when I found something difficult, and the headteacher did not do anything about the bullying that my brother endured, who is autistic. They just didn't care. My school made things worse for my family. But I'm making it my mission that my daughter, 4, to be happy at school.
Oh Georgia, I feel so sorry for her. That she feels so ashamed of depression is such a clear sign that nobody's told her about how terribly common it is.
@@aliyahfatty7732 I’ve become depressed after watching Come and See (1985) and I get support from my sister who went through being depressed and she’s doing better now. We’ve both gone through it but Come and See (1985) has become very close with me now
@@franklinilara Nope. A video of one of the students say that they completely forget about the cameras. That, combined with the fact that they won't be in the spotlight constantly reduces the effect the cameras have on them. To top it off, the cameras are there all year. How can they change their character/persona to fit the role they want to portray on TV for that long?
@@KurtisGallagher Well it isn't just one student. I was pointing out that one made a youtube video talking about the experience. Personally, I think the school kind of always has to be like that since they are some of the worst schools in the area. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
@@bluesblooms well a U stands for ungradable - or at least that's what we all refer to it. Basically so little marks were obtained it doesnt even achieve a grade
AP _TJ Beyond Scared Straight is for people who commit all types of things, e.g Gang Related Things, Bullying, Etc, not because he flirted with a girl, and smashed a door accidentally
sadly, I watched Educating Cardiff first. All other Education episodes after did not match up. It is by far my favorite. They actually do great teaching and have so much empathy for their students, it is amazing!
Educating Manchester was just almost completely fake. Compare that to Essex, Yorkshire and Cardiff and you can tell virtually every conversation is dramatised for the cameras.
I know exactly how Georgia feels when she was explaining how she feels when she self harms, but my school didn’t care, I got told off for it cause I created more problems for the school 🙁
Hey that is terrible ther happened to you and your school should be ashamed of themselves. I hope you got the help you needed from the external resources such as youth workers and other supporters.
When you’ve got kids here aiming for a C, and I got a bollocking off my Chemistry teacher for being 2 marks off an A* in my GCSE. I was really happy with my A, but he made me feel like crap. I have Asperger’s, and was really proud of myself for getting 12 A* - B grades at GCSE. Some people shouldn’t be teachers. I left school 10 years ago, and I can still hear his words like they were yesterday.
Jodie Did you go to a grammar? I went to a grammar and it destroyed me. I was called stupid to my face, taught to believe a B to be a ‘bad’ grade... schools shouldn’t be allowed to operate like that. My school didn’t even have good pastoral care to make up for it. When my anxiety and autistic burnout reached a breaking point, I couldn’t get into school anymore and my school did nothing to help. Pathetic.
@@kie4078 Oh for god's sake just get over yourself. Life is tough, for EVERYONE, not just you. I went to school with rotten kids and rotten teachers, and I've just left school with straight As and the exact university I wanted. That's the problem these days, people have no backbone, and they just expect everyone to fall at their feet and tend to their needs. No offence, but get a grip
Kids are prepped really well for exams. Theres usually a lot of stress but we have 2 rounds of mocks which prep kids for exams. Also when I sat it, it was easier and probably a higher paper 5then that but i am naturally god at maths... at gcse level at least 😅
Yeah that's understandable you're losing something that's been with you almost 5 years but trust me college is amazing. There is a lot more freedom and you learn what you enjoy. I hope you go to a good college!
wait I lowkey want to know what my teachers talk about me lol.....cause I'm so quiet and sit alone every single day all the time but I'm a good student lol. And I've also heard that teachers ship students with other students so I wanna know if they do that hahah I wanna know the tea
I think Georgia should’ve asked for extra hour or whatever after school to help revise and go over what she was struggling with, and do more revision and studying at home rather than socialising then panicking over the pressure. I dreaded maths but asked my teacher if o could stay back an hour three times a week to learn and go over the stuff I hated, and then I’d revise like mad at home and practise. I managed to get my C and I was so proud, but honestly I think she would’ve been less panicked if she had planned and revised more
WHY do they put so much pressure on these kids? My college is number one in the league tables in the whole country, but if you fail your maths and/or English GCSE in highschool you can re-take them whilst you’re at college.
One of the kids in my class got caught smoking at the back of the school and he got a 1 week and 3 day suspension, and I'm not surprised he smoked 2 packs on the day
Mr. Lo Celso comes from a very deprived area of Southern Italy, where there is a large number of school leavers. Many people there become unemployed and resort to crime. Better believe in the education
Year 6’s probably right now during lockdown: I’m going to miss my prom My end of school play My primary graduations My final primary school level and report
@@_levirice the year 6s think its important as to go to seniors they have to do their sats but now the teachers have to use the practice tests which the People who needed the extra support couldn't get on and they were excited for their fry up most likely and their end of year play is part of their lives as they haven't done a play since year 2 unless they are a basic role in the last year's play but they want to be a main role like alot of lines
Itd be interesting to see a mixed school, a place where there is a bug range if students, especially like from a less privileged area. I'd be really interested for them to do my old high school *shudders*
Yesss I'm in NZ though but I'd think my country would like to watch some thing like this...I really want them to do it on my school cause it's interesting lol
Wait... they are year 11, and they ponder over math problems like "2 times 5" and "2 times 10"? I've been a terrible student (barely passing my final exam), but please sign me up for this school. I want to know what it feels like to be a straight A student.
